Very true, whether it’s objective truth or his perception, I think JGY sees Mingjue as a near constant physical threat. Plus he’s not the most trusting guy even when he can see

OH, that is such a good point, holy shit. So, not only worried about Mingjue purposefully neglecting his safety because he doesn’t like or trust him, but also inadvertently doing it. Bahaha, maybe a little 😁 I think that Mingjue would be more vocal about it, like out loud asking if JGY is telling the truth or not trusting his judgement/skills (which would still make JGY Quite Displeased).

jaiosdhgao IN THIS ECONOMY?? And totally, they could both grudgingly be unhappy about it if Xichen were in charge but they trust him and his skills implicitly, so that would be less fun

Ooo, I haven’t but it makes sense! They essentially work as ghost/monster detectives, it makes sense to start young and make a game of it!

If A-Fu and JGY sleep in the same bed, JGY cannot fall asleep without A-Fu right next to him, or without a hand on him. He actually kind of struggles to sleep at first if A-Fu is there because he has BIG protective dad anxiety and his monkey brain is just like "maybe best to stay awake all night to make sure he's safe :) just in case :)"

Oh god, this is too adorable, help. A-Fu complains that he’s not in the middle and, once he’s big enough, manages to clamber in between them in the middle of the night and if Mingjue ever rolls over on top of him, he just kicks him repeatedly until he wakes up--which works??? But it’s very disruptive.The idea of Xichen using him as some sort of weighted blanket/teddy bear is just the sweetest thing--him with his hands neatly tucked on top of A-Fu where they would usually be on his chest when he wasn’t there. 

And oooooh yes; every time A-Fu moves, he jerks awake and then shuffles closer--ideal sleeping positions when Xiyao and A-Fu is Xichen on the outside of the bed, A-Fu in between and then JGY against the wall. It works better for everyone ;-; And on really bad anxiety/trauma days, when JGY is awake even before Xichen, Xichen won’t mention it and will instead send him back to sleep while he meditates because it will be Safe, now that Xichen is awake
