Scenes From My Early Walk - Encounter With The Bunny I had barely gotten to the closet spot on my walk where I had ever encountered our Desert Cottontail when I saw the rabbit on a little embankment. Desert Cottontails, like all wild rabbits use camouflage and hiding as there first way to escape potential predators and when you’re a rabbit, just about anything is a potential predator. They will first stay absolutely still and when you’re distracted for a second they will hop away. I usually get longer with the Desert Cottontail but that was not to be. As soon as I went to adjust the focus the bunny was gone. The other trouble is the available light. It was a couple minutes before sunrise so inside the wooded area it was dark so the shutter speed was slower. I have a bit of a shaky hand due to neuropathy so holding still is difficult. Anyway, I did get these photos. It’s always good to encounter “The Bun.” #ScenesFromMyWalk #EarlyMorning #JustBeforeSunrise #DesertCottontail #DesertCottontailRabbit #CottontailRabbit #Bunny #Rabbit #Cute #Kawaii #サバクワタオウサギ #可愛い #うさぎ #バニー (at Agua Fria, New Mexico) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTxAuuYLpWe/?utm_medium=tumblr
