Supernatural’s Peace Of Mind is my favorite episode of any show ever. The amount of nostalgia I feel when watching it, I love. I could watch a whole movie/spin off of just Cas and Sam’s scenes in that town. No Surprises by Radiohead reminds me of it every time I watch the episode.

I love the town, the houses are beautiful inside and out, the diner. (and Sastiel is my favorite ship) I want my house based on the one Sam and Castiel slept in 😭 And the episode is so funny, my sister and I recreated one of the scenes. Jack and Dean was a odd duo on there and poor Felix. I don't like Dean in the later seasons, especially not around Jack.

Here’s a parallel I noticed that highlights the difference between Cas relationship with Dean and Cas relationship with Sam pretty well. Episodes 10x22 vs 14x15

When MOC Dean is beating up Cas, Cas doesn’t hit back even once. The most he does is try to bear hug him from behind to calm him down. But not a single punch.

When Sam is Justin Smith, Cas says he won’t hurt him, but he actually does pick him up and slam him into the ground. It’s not a big deal, obviously he knows Sam can take it, but it’s something he wouldn’t even do with Dean.

Before the actual fighting, Cas tells dean, “I’m your friend… I’ll be the one that watches you murder the world.” And then when MOC Dean is on top of Cas holding the angel blade to him, Cas holds onto the wrist Dean has on his tie and the only thing he says is, “please”. He doesn’t even try to grab the hand holding the knife. And then Dean stops.

On the other hand, when Sam is on top of Cas trying to stab him, Cas uses an entirely different approach. He’s forcibly holding back Sam’s arm that’s holding the angel blade. He tells him he understands that he wants to be happy, but that if he does this he fails the people they lost. He says “if you do this you fail Jack. Sam, you fail Dean.” And that makes Sam stop.

The difference that’s so stark is that Cas has to appeal to Sam through talking about Dean. But Cas can appeal to Dean through his own relationship to him. He doesn’t need to bring up what it will do to Sam or anyone else, because their own relationship is powerful enough and he knows it.

We have to trust the process. A lot of people need to let go of the notion that they're going to do a one-to-one casting of the book character to the on-screen performer. Is Harris not how he's described in the book? No but once again they're going off of chemistry and how they interact with each other and that's what's really important in portraying this work and it's okay if a person of color is cast. After all Ilya is not portrayed in the book as he is on TV. Where's my tacky bear tattoo?!?!We're going to see a black man happy and open about his sexuality and portrayed in a gentle Farmer-ish way which is never really done and that's amazing. Just trust the process, trust the team that brought us an amazing work. Things are not going to always play out in the book as on film and that's okay. Embrace it wait and see what they create before judging.

Introducing Little Miss Hana Kim Rickards 💖

Born on Tuesday 28th March 1989, weighing a healthy seven pounds.

Oh my goodness me. What an extraordinarily special moment in The Newsreader, and dare I say, it’s become the most joyous one of all.

Noelene. Beautiful darling Noelene Kim. She’s a mummy now! And Rob Rickards; his most proudest goal is now being Hana’s daddy!

In my heart of hearts I somehow predicted that Noelene and Rob would have a baby in 1989, even all the way back in the Season One days. It brings me joy that I was indeed correct in this instinct! Noelene is such a gentle, nurturing woman and has extraordinary family values, so seeing her step into the role of Mum just seems so natural. She has so much love to give, and little Hana is the most beautiful avenue for this. And for Rob too, he is a bloke who is loyal to his family and team. He is going to be beside himself with joy stepping into his new role, and if he’s already fiercely protective and proud of Noelene, he will be unstoppable with Hana. He couldn’t possibly love his two girls more.

I’m not afraid to say that I cried a bucket of happy tears watching dear little Hana come into the world. That final push and the relief Noelene felt when the birth was all over. The fuzziness of the camera once Hana was finally out of her, giving us such a gorgeous glimpse into Noelene’s exhausted but happy point of view. Rob being so present and supportive, and cutting the umbilical cord. Rob being so overwhelmed with joy that he had to take a moment to breathe was just the icing on the cake.

What a perfectly composed scene for the arrival of the sweetest Newsreader family member of all. Hana is really just the most perfect little baby. They are both so very, very lucky, and as are we as viewers. We are privileged to be able to share in this special family story too. I cannot wait to watch this precious poppet grow.

Congratulations Noelene and Rob, and welcome to the world, darling little Hana. Oh the joy! 💖👶🏻

They want to make a damn live action tangled, cast Jonathan Bailey for Flynn. Wicked convinced me he can do it if anyone can. If they want to cast someone who’s not white, get either Aaron Pierre or Xolo Maridueña, shit, get Justin Smith for all I care, just get anyone besides Chris Pratt (and I’m saying that as someone who likes Pratt as an actor) or fucking Levi. I’d say get Chris Pine but pine seems a little old. Just get someone who’s younger than 40 and can sell it.
