Sunday, August 7th 2017 • Naperville Sprint Tri Location: Naperville, IL 🏊🏼♀️🚴🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏁🏅☀️💋 Second outdoor (3rd overall) triathlon has been added to the books. It's crazy to believe how much faster I was this time around compared to my last outdoor triathlon last year. Even with feeling nauseous waking up, wanting to give in and stay in bed - I found myself on the triathlon athlete check in. One thing that pushes me through the mental wall of why am I here is "Rise and Grind" speech. My ONLY competition out there is myself and the person I brought to the last race. My goal for this race was to push through my times and never give up. Written on my packet the day before I had 3 rules: never give up, never coast and enjoy the race. The swim went WAY better than I thought it was going to. Placed myself between the 8-10 minute swim trial lane and pumped out a 7:43/400m swim time. Spent only 3:59 in T1. Even with my bike still having issues and having to complete the bike course in the high gear the entire time, I blew past my last time and my training time. Completed the 22k bike race in 53:26. Spent 2:57 in T2. And then did my absolute best in my 5K and pulled out a time of 42:37 out to no where, MY BEST TIME YET. Totaling the entire race to 1 hour, 50 minutes and 40 seconds. Placement results >> Naperville Sprint Triathlon Division: F 25-29 Time: 1:40:50 Division Place: 52 / 63 Overall: 1132 / 1300 Gender Place: 457 / 574 🏊🏼♀️🚴🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏁🏅✌🏽💋💁🏽
