man idk i like that fo4 is set in new england? cause like ... im running around Home. the city parts aren’t really (but i’m not really a city person by any measure), but the wooded areas are just ... that’s Home? there’s maples and white birches and thick shallow brush and wetlands, and hills and hills and hills and hills that just sorta go on forever, and rocky outcroppings from where the glacier scraped all the dirt away and left granite

and crows and deer everywhere (albeit mutated two-headed deer but yanno)

AND FUCKING MOSQUITOES AND BLACKFLIES, THAT ARE BIG NOW, AND CAN KILL YOU, GODDAMMIT YOU HAD TO GO MAKE THOSE HORRORS WORSE

n i like all the ppl who have new england accents ... they’re really comforting to hear? idk it’s cool

i wish there were seasonal settings so the trees could leaf out and you could get songbirds, there’s gotta be songbirds, you can’t convince me the radiation wiped out ALL the wildlife with the place still being habitable for humans -- also cicadas, i wanna hear the cicadas screaming in the summer

or snow, i want snowy evenings in sanctuary w/ the quincy survivors & a fire to keep the cold out & scavenged packet cocoa
