"This is why men are so easy to just... to just murder!" Jeff grumbled, only making the slightest effort to quiet his unsavory comment. He figured the chances of being heard above the chatter of other groups frequenting the narrow sidewalk were minimal at best, but part of him hoped he would be heard; then maybe the asshole blocking him might walk faster.
Justin started at the sound of the voice, turning quickly to glance behind him and blinking up at the taller male. It wasn’t like him to saunter like this, but he had found himself very distracted in his own thoughts, not even aware that he had dared to walk in the centre of the pavement. Eyes wide and startled, Justin stopped in his tracks, trying to be sure the stranger had said what he thought he had.
“Uh- wh- what did you just say?” he asked timidly, though there was an edge of curiosity to his speech.
