~**~ Review Blitz for The Wright Mistake by K.A. Linde ~**~
***5 ‘Hello Emotional Roller Coaster’ Stars***
I knew going into this book that I’d be in for a hell of a ride. There was no way it couldn’t be based on all that I’d come to know about Julia and Austin in the first Wright books, but holy hell did this one do a number on me and there were times when I seriously wanted to toss my Kindle in the freezer (it’s a tad bit kinder than tossing it against the wall), but at the same time I couldn’t stop reading it. I needed to know what these two would put each other through and see if they made it out alive, but more so I needed to see if they could overcome all of their baggage because the spark between them burned so bright that it’s was so obvious they were each other’s forever.
Admission time: I didn’t like Julia and Austin half the time. I didn’t. They both frustrated the hell out of me more often than not and made me want to put the book down, but then they’d have a moment that would grab hold of me ~ whether it be together or separately ~ and I was sucked back down the rabbit hole. They both are damaged and simply pretending to be okay. Julia does a much better job than Austin, but she has her demons. But what kept me reading, and rooting for them, was that underneath their issues were two people with bruised, yet golden hearts that needed to a safe place to land so they can heal and shed the burdens that plague them.
Their road to their HEA was all kinds of rocky, not only because of the whole enemies to lovers thing, but all of the other baggage they were both carrying, and let me tell you they both have a shitton of baggage. But what had me rooting for them to not only get together, but get their shit together, were the sparks that always flared when they were simply close to each other. They had a connection that, even when they couldn’t explain it, jumped off the page and needed to not only be grounded a bit but nurtured so could evolve into something wonderful. Thankfully, it did but not without a lot of work and some very unexpected ‘come to Jesus” moments and in the end I loved where they were at when all was said and done.
The Wright Mistake was a full on roller coaster ride, but one I’m more than happy to have been on. Ms. Linde touches on some very sensitive subjects, but I feel that she did it with a lot of respect and wanting to give as much of a true to life depiction of them and not gloss over the dark parts. As I am a sucker for ensemble casts/well written secondary characters and keeping up with the ones we’ve already met, this book had it all for me and I loved hanging out with all of them There were a few unexpected twists in this one, and there is one that I am sure will cause an uproar with some fans of the Wright family, but I’m pretty sure that the ultimate end result will be amazing to see.

A new stand alone enemies-to-lovers romance by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde...
I spent six weeks screwing Austin Wright’s brains out and all I got was this broken heart.
He can’t be trusted. Not with my body or my heart. Yet, two years have passed and I still crave him like an addict needing a fix.
The last time we tried this, it nearly ruined me. I know I should run and never look back. But his dark haunted eyes and razor blade smile speak to my soul. His touch sets my body on fire. And we all know what happens when you light gasoline. Someone is bound to get burned.
A second chance might destroy us both.
Because everyone knows two wrongs don’t make a Wright.
