This was one of the little scenes that hurt the most when I first read it
Jade was so certain how things were going to be because she spent so much time dreaming on Prospit waiting for the day she’ll get to meet her friends and not be alone anymore
But it was all wrong because Skaia only shows the parts of the future it needs to and she loses her dreams when her dreamself dies with a burning Prospit. Gets shunted into the dream bubbles and for once sleep has become a nightmare
Wakes up and everything she was hoping for was burned to the ground and she can’t even remember what it was supposed to be
