Top 5 Chi-Chi moments?

I still haven't seen a bunch of the movies, so apologies if there's some Chi-Chi goodness in there that I'm missing out on x-x

Nursing Goku back to health from his heart virus is definitely an underrated one (it's one of my favourite Yamcha moments too), it's lovely to see how concerned she is about him and how attentive she is in trying to cool his fever and feed him his doses, and then! She's absolutely relieved and delighted when he recovers, and jumps out a second story window to run to him and hug him, because she's so happy he's okay! It's just a really sweet moment <3

Sparring with Goten is great, and the fact that she's the one who taught him to fight in the first place is also great, especially because at the time she would've still been grieving Goku, and having to run an entire household by herself as a widow and a single-mother of two boys, but she still took time out of her day, on a consistent basis, to help Goten learn to fight because fighting is important to their family, it's how she and Goku met! I'd love to see her still sparring with Goten, or even Gohan and Goku on a regular basis, that would be really nice <3

The first time we ever see her, she decapitates a giant t-rex and then blows it up with an energy beam, just… wow?? That's your character introduction scene?? What a badass! Then she almost takes Yamcha and Roshi out with that axe too… they really should've let her have an axe as an adult, it would've been fun to incorporate it into her fighting style, and been something different that sets her apart from the other fighters

The 23rd World Tournament where she shows up to talk to Goku but can't just be normal about the whole thing and walk up to him and say 'hi I'm Chi-Chi', no she has to go through all the trouble of entering the tournament herself (under a false name!) fighting her way through all the preliminaries, and then half-beating the shit out of him before she even bothers to explain herself! She's so extra and I love her xD

The scene where she storms right up to Buu, knowing how dangerous he is and still bitch-slaps him anyway is ICONIC, it's right up there with Bulma's Beerus slap which everyone loves but no-one ever praises Chi-Chi for doing exactly the same thing, decades earlier, in fact I've even seen people say 'I'm glad she got killed for that she was annoying' while Bulma gets congratulated for standing up for herself and being a badass, the double-standards are ridiculous! #JusticeForChiChi

kind of a bummer that toriyama ended og dbz with a clear nudge towards the next generation of protagonists being pan and uub if the series had hypothetically kept going and then every subsequent future iteration of dragon ball was like 'yeah...not doing that actually'

the punchline to the dbs exchange where vegeta doesnt want to leave bulma while she's pregnant in the universe where they characterized ppl correctly would've actually been goku going "wow, vegeta, i didn't know you cared that much!" and vegeta gets INSULTED by the very notion... it was meant as kind of a lighthearted observation by goku who often says just what's on his mind without thinking and it's actually somewhat of a compliment but he takes it sort of as a swipe at his pride and he goes "OF COURSE I'M GOING TO BE THERE WHEN SHE GIVES BIRTH. I'M A GOOD HUSBAND AND FATHER AND I KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS TO HER SO WHY DON'T YOU GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL, KAKAROT. THERE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE THAN TRAINING" and then goku is just like "oh, i just meant that like, well you weren't there when she gave birth to trunks, were ya?" and then vegeta gets the anime shock line going through him as he stutters and chokes on nothing like he walways does

Nostalgia doodle

Been watching Kai, first time I've watched Dragon Ball since I was a kid. I have almost no memories of watching it as a kid, though I've read it since, but the one thing I remember crystal clear is the Videl flight training scene and thinking she was the coolest character ever.
