The Chandratal Lake is believed to have been discovered by traders travelling from Tibet and Ladakh to Kullu and Spiti, who would stop by the lakeside to rest a while before resuming their journey. Located at a height of 14,100 feet, the Chandratal Lake can be accessed only during the three months of summer.
