I’ve never questioned it before but, Why dose Kavirs beard and eye brows not match his hair?
I made a quick doodle of what it would look like if they did match, it honestly feels weird seeing him like that.
At first I thought that it was just a style choice (like in universe Kavir dyed his hair or his facial hair but not both) but I looked it up and apparently it’s possible for it to just be genetics.

Leboosh learned how to speak thanks to Kavir who taught him common. The reason he has a French accent is likely because they watched a lot of films together and those were likely his main source of information when it came to spoken languages.
That’s cannon, but here my head cannon.
Leboosh is a curious character who learns pretty fast, so after learning common from Kavir he went on to learn many different languages from across many different planets. (It helped with translations on the rare occasion they ran into a target who didn’t know common)
So now imagine if one day Kavir overheard Leboosh thinking aloud but speaking in French a language Kavir doesn’t know but he really liked the sound of it and he asks if Leboosh could teach him a few words as well.
Summary: That scene in Heated Rivalry, where they’re in the hospital but make it Spideytorch!!
Thoughts: Love the book, love the show, love the characters, love the actors, love the fanarts, fanfics, and fan edits, so I just had to make it Spideytorch.
It’s short but I just had to write it.
Anyways enjoy!!
Johnny woke up groggy, grasping at imaginary comfort that just wasn’t there.
He didn’t know where he was, panic gripping at his until he narrowed down the passibility of where he could be.
His heart did a flutter as he cautiously hoped he was at Peter’s place.
He was not.
The mechanical beep of machines pulled him out of his fanatics and pulled him under the force of memory instead.
It came to him in flashes. The game against Peter. Bumping into Harry. Him hitting the ice and not rising from the cold.
Everything comes to him in waves at that point
Shame pools in his guts at his lack of focus on his game while guilt makes it home in his head, as Peter would surely worry about him.
God Peter. He was looking at Peter before he was knocked out cold. More so throwing goo, goo eyes at him, but, schematics.
Peter, whose aunt just died a week before and now, with this catastrophe, he would be worried sick over Johnny.
Ok, so maybe Johnny was overstating the worry Peter could be experiencing. He might not like Johnny to the extent that Johnny likes him, but even Peter has to admit that he cares for Johnny.
That feeling of being loved fills Johnny with a warm flutter.
Peter cares about him. Who would’ve thought.
Certainly not Johnny, but Florida changed things for the better. It made them both open up, something that was a mental challenge in every regard.
Johnny’s been in the limelight for as long as he can remember. Coming out was never really an option for him. He was never content with that fact, just knew that that was what was happening.
Then along came Medusa. With her bright smile and joy filled laugh. She listened and gave him advice and took no shit from him and dressed nice and got on with his friends and she was just great in every way.
Everything that Johnny could ever want for in a woman. The whole package really, except Johnny liked what was inside the package, just not the packaging.
He figured that out eventually though with a good old hearty kick from Medusa to help things move along.
He knew he couldn’t come out publicly. He couldn’t do that do his family, would never put them through that whole shit show.
He knew it was a little silly coming out to Peter but it was important to Johnny, and if it was important to him, well then it wasn’t really silly at all.
Johnny prodded about Peter’s life then, which Peter finally caved into telling him.
It was heartbreaking hearing about his life, but Johnny was there for him in all the ways that mattered. Even when the distance threatened to topple them over, Johnny would still be there standing, waiting for Peter to come back.
They weren’t a thing. Johnny knew that. Yet, when Peter’s aunt had died, he had called Johnny.
Not just for a quickie through a screen, no, he rang to talk. Talk about problems. That was more romantic than any quick fuck they had ever had.
Johnny had listened to Peter speak Spanish for five minutes straight. It fit on his tongue like butter did on bread, it just made sense hearing Peter speak like that is what he was getting at.
Peter was more vulnerable than ever at that moment, but he still called Johnny.
That was all Johnny needed to know that Peter cared. He cared enough to show himself in such a state.
A knock on the door as a flurry of blonde fills his sight. His sister in all her glory grips at his arms and hisses at him.
“So stupid. You’re so God Damn stupid.”
She then presses a kiss to his forehead.
“Hi Sue.”
“Don’t ’Hi Sue’ me. Do you know how worried I’ve been? I swear Johnathan Storm, I’ll kill you, I’ll actually kill you.”
She presses a hand to his forehead and lets it linger.
“How do you feel?”
“Kind of sore.” He admits. Now that he really thinks about it, he’s in some sort of dim pain. He was too swamped with his tangled thoughts to really acknowledge it before.
His sister tuts before marching out the room.
“I’ll sort it out.”
She out again just like that and Johnny is left to slowly sink into his pillow.
Johnny had this weird disease. Doctors said he almost had fire in his blood, he ran that hot. Meant he was almost never cold and if he were to be drugged, he needed a lot of them so they would actually to their job and knock him out.
Which meant when Sue came back next time he woke up, he probably would see a purple giraffe wandering around his room.
He closes his eyes and prays he doesn’t embarrass himself while sleeps tugs him under and forces his to surrender his better judgment.
Johnny sits in his hospital bed looking at nothing in particular.
He is soooooo high right now. He bets he could touch the ceiling if he really put his mind to it. He really wants to do that. He can’t though, because his legs have turned to Jelly and his tongue lolls about uselessly in his mouth.
Footsteps sound throughout the corridor constantly. A hard set stops at his door and creak the it open.
Peter enters the room looking more of a natural disaster than usual.
Johnny perks up straight away and shifts himself so he’s sitting up straighter.
“Peterrrrrrrr.” He purrs, entirely too pleased that Peter came to visit little old him.
“Shh, shh, shh.” Peter aims at him while looking over his shoulder. Carefully making sure no one seen him enter the room.
God forbid.
He then looks at Johnny. Assess him really, but not in a fun way. He’s looking at Johnny as if he can’t believe he’s really here.
“I um.” Peter starts, looking a bit constipated as if he was conflicted with being here.
“I just wanted to….” Peter trails off before taking a gulp.
“Are you ok?” He asks. He says it much more comfortably, because that’s the real reason as to why he’s here.
“Concussion and a fractured collarbone. Out for the playoffs. But.” Johnny lists off, leaving the ending to hang off into their silence.
“Could have been worse.” Peter finishes for him.
“Could have been worse.” Johnny echos with a down right gooey smile.
This is nice. Two of them, alone. No cameras, no ice, no nothing. Just them together. Two peas in a pod.
Peter, of course, can’t leave it as it is.
Peter always feels the need to cover his tracks, make excuses so he can feel something other than hardening responsibility, making sure he has something to fall back on incase someone tells him he’s slacking at being him.
Johnny doesn’t get it. He doesn’t understand why Peter can’t just feel, why he needs to make excuses to explain why he feels like that.
He should know better than anyone now, that Johnny knows all about being a helpless captive to the creatures they call feelings. If he did have a choice, he would force himself to move on from Peter. For the sake of his health.
“Harry feels terrible by the way. He did not mean to hurt you.”
“I know. Part of the game. We all get out bell rung eventually, right?”
It’s not really a question but Peter still answers him.
“Right.”
It occurs to Johnny then that Peter is all the way over there, and Johnny is right here. It feels like a million miles lay in his wake to reach Peter. Usually he would put up with this but not now. Not while he’s drugged to the max and hurt.
“Hey. Heyyyyyy.” Johnny whined out.
Peter is across the room in seconds. “Ok, ok, ok, ok.” He says hushed.
“Yesssss.” Johnny drawls out quietly.
“Shh, shh.” Peter soothes before clasping onto Johnny’s offering hand.
“Yes.” Johnny repeats. Finally getting what he wants. “Better.” He informs Peter with a soft smile.
“You scared me.” Peter confesses. He might as well have ripped his heart out and laid it out bare for Johnny. This was big coming from him.
“I’m sorry I didn’t text you last night.”
“No, it’s ok.” Peter says it like a statement. As if he can’t imagine how Johnny could even think about that with what has happened.
Peter brings his hand to Johnny’s cheek and caresses it gently. It gives Johnny all the courage he needs.
“I was excited about last night. I’m mostly mad at Marlo for fucking that up.”
“He feels bad.”
“You know I had a whole plan to tell you something.”
Panic flares through Peter at the promise for more shining through Johnny’s eyes.
“Maybe it’s better if you just rest for now.”
“I was going to ask you—“
“Storm.” A warning, a warning he chose to breeze past.
“Willyoucometomycottagethissummer. Don’t go to Queens. Come to my cottage. We’ll have so much funnnnnnn, it’s so private. No one will knowwww.” Johnny all but sings, joy radiating off him in waves. This was a brilliant, amazing, fantastic and phenomenal idea that Johnny has been rolling around in his head for forever. It feels good to say it out loud.
“Storm you know I can’t do that.” Peter pleads.
“Mmmmmmmmm. We could have a week or even two. Be completely alone, together.”
A pained look crosses Peter’s eyes but it doesn’t linger. Instead he feeds Johnny’s dream for a little while longer.
“Maybe. Maybe.”
No knock, no sound, but somehow, a nurse works her way into the room. Like an evil spirit, seeking them out to ruin their moment.
He was being dramatic but things were just getting good. The nurse is probably lovely but Johnny just couldn’t care less. This was the first time they’ve been alone in weeks.
“Oh no.”
The rest is a blur but Peter leaves. He always leaves and it makes him terribly upset.
Weeks later and Johnny is watching Steve Rogers trade tongues with a not so stranger form the crowd.
His whole family is shook and he can’t take his eyes off the screen.
His phone buzzes and Petra pops up as the Id.
He walks away. Too stunned to string an excuse together.
When he gets far enough away he hits answer.
“What the.” Johnny breathes out.
“I’m coming to the cottage.”
Extra Thoughts: Man I wish I could get a free Heated Rivalry Spidey Au…MAN I WISH I COULD—
Guys I’m obsessed with this show and like this scene is just a top ten in every regard.
