Slightly inspired by Feel Something, James Young.
"You could be the one to make me feel something, something"
After Shigaraki showed off his new powers, all of you became even more aware of your surroundings. This operation had to succeed at all costs. And Tomura speaking his nonsense ideology was the last straw for Bakugo to take action and explode that man's face.
But it all happened too fast, and in a swing, Shigaraki showed that he had improved not only his battle abilities but also his vision and movements too.
You couldn't let it slide, no, not Bakugo.
Not any of your friends, but especially not Bakugo.
He couldn't be hit.
So, you did the only thing you could at the time. You let your body take over you. And in an impulse, you launch yourself in front of him using your teleportation quirk and open a huge purple portal. All the impact that was sent to Bakugo went out from another portal that you opened.
You felt exhausted. Shigaraki was on another level now, and it demanded almost all your strength to not open a huge portal but to maintain it open to avoid the impact killing both you and Bakugo.
Your instinct was good. You opened the second portal far from where you all were and directed the portal to the sky.
It was good, you thought.
Kats is alive, just like you all.
You turned to have a glimpse of his eyes only to feel an impact sending you away.
Your vision was blurry, and the last thing you heard was Katsuki screaming your name.
Katsuki Bakugo always took pride in being stronger and faster. Though he doesn't speak out loud, he always took pride in having you by his side too.
Even as a child, with all his menacing attitude. You complained about him being mean, but you never went away — never for too long. You never left his side, have you?
But seeing your body lying still on the floor, blood cascading from the side of your head. Crimson droplets falling on your face and marks of cuts and blood appearing from the parts of your hero costume that were torn.
Katsuki couldn't control the uneasy feeling with the idea of not having you by his side anymore.
Sure, when the war started, all of you knew about the dangers.
But we never want to believe that this type of thing will happen with the ones we love and with us.
He felt a shiver run down his body.
He hadn't asked you on a date yet.
Sure, you guys kissed before this battle. You said it was for good luck, and it had been clear that both of you shared feelings.
Yet, time to go out was a luxury that none of you have now. He was waiting to do that after the war ended.
He wouldn't say it out loud. But he had passed near a wedding store some months ago, and he already pictured you in one of those clothes; he already pictured himself—by your side—in one of those clothes too.
He had been thinking about "accidentally" passing on that street again when you both went out on a date.
Fuck. You need to survive.
You cannot let him be alone with millions of ideas for your future.
That's too cruel.
Bakugo stares at Shigaraki. His red eyes had another glister — one that only lights up when someone is prepared to kill.
He will fucking kill Shigaraki, and then he will take you out to the hospital, and after that, he's taking you on a date. That's it.
Katsuki fled towards Shigaraki. Nejiro and Mirio widened their eyes at how fast he jumped. Tamaki jolts with the sound of Bakugo's explosions. He was at the peak of his ability, using everything he could.
The light of hope shone over them; Shigaraki was feeling the impact.
Katsuki was at an animalistic pace. He shouts out of his lungs all types of swear words that come to mind.
"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO TOUCH HER, YOU PIECE OF SHIT?! I'M GOING TO EXPLODE YOU!"
Then Midoriya arrives.
And oh boy, his face twisted in pure despair and anger when he saw your body on the floor. Blood was already forming a small pool around you whilst Best Jeanist and Edgeshot worked to save you.
Midoriya turned to his left. Shigaraki and Kacchan were trying to kill one another while you were lying bloody on the floor. Midoriya doesn't even know if you're breathing, and that's the last straw for him to launch towards Shigaraki too.
Deku didn’t think twice. He flies in pure wrath. Both of them, Kacchan and Deku, start working together for one common result: stop Shigaraki Tomura at all costs.
After their battle finished, Bakugo would've liked to come back to where his parents were and rest, but he knew he couldn't.
Edgeshot and Jeanist did a good job. They both were able to stop your blood and keep you stable until they got out of there.
Katsuki wasn't able to come back to you after he finished his battle, but he was found holding the dog tag you once gave him. It has his, yours and Midoriya's names. You gave it to him when you were eleven, saying no matter where he goes, you all would always stay together — always with him.
Bakugo wakes up with a jolt.
His first thought was, "Where is Yn?"
His second "Where is Deku?"
And his third, "Where the fuck am I?"
Then he saw his mum and dad by his side. Mitsuki tried to control him. But after she tells him you were in the other room, there is no one that could hold him back.
When he saw you lying on the bed, all patched up, he felt his heart crack into a million pieces. He got closer to your bed, and carefully not to touch your bandages, he passed his fingertips through your head.
He was soft like a feather with you; never in a million lives would he ever forgive himself if he hurt you.
Mitsuki and Masaru widened their eyes and came running towards Katsuki, only to stop when they saw the scene in front of them. They both exchange a look before giving a step back.
"Where is Deku?" he asked, voice hoarse.
"In the next room with All Might," Mitsuki replied.
"I want us three in the same room."
"What?" Mitsuki asked.
"You can't, Katsuki, you three—"
His father stopped mid-sentence when Bakugo turned a bit. His brows were knitted, but his eyes were not angry ones but fearful. Katsuki had experienced death himself. He thought he had lost you, Deku, his parents, his friends, and his life.
Now that he was alive, he didn't want to be far away.
Katsuki Bakugo was regretful of a lot of things.
He is aware of what he said and did in the past, and he is prepared to change for a better future. But for now, he wants to be closer to his childhood friends. Now.
It is a lot to hold. And a lot to say. Yet, Katsuki didn't need to open his mouth. His father widened his eye, and as Katsuki turned his eyes to you again, Masaru went away to make you three share a room.
His face relaxed in something tender. One of the rare occasions he was tender.
The nurses finally organise all three of you and All Might in the same room. Katsuki could breathe again. Deku was in the bed in front of his, with All Might by his side. On the other side of the room was him, and your bed was beside his.
You were still sleeping.
Bakugo had already talked with Deku and All Might.
He apologises and cries.
But now the only thing he wants is to see you awake. He knows you're not in danger anymore. His parents explained your case, and the nurses did it too. Both he and Midoriya asked a tonne of questions, leaving no room for doubts. You were alright and would soon be awake.
"Yes..." He glanced at you. "She's alright. Now she is."
Both Midoriya and Bakugo stay quietly in their respective beds, looking at yours, looking at you. Just like they did when you were the first one to fall asleep in class. Just like they did when the three of you were kids, the world wasn't so heavy on your shoulders, and no matter what, you always take care of one another.
Katsuki was uncomfortable at first. He didn't like to be vulnerable. But he decided Deku deserved to know how you get hurt like this — how you put your own life at risk just to save him. You were fast but decided to check on him, to search for his eyes, and that's why you got hurt. Launched away like you were nothing.
"She did what we would have done for her, Kacchan."
"She almost got herself killed."
"I guess we cannot complain with her for it." He glances at himself, then at Bakugo. Bakugo did the same. They locked eyes.
"We almost got ourselves killed too," Izuku shrugged.
"You literally died. I was so upset," he shook his head. "She will complain so much to you when she discovers what happened. Brace yourself for the lecture."
"You too," Bakugo replies.
All Might had been resting, a calm sleep, for a good twenty minutes now.
A sigh was heard from your bed, and swiftly both boys turned to look at you.
"You're awake," Bakugo mumbled as he watched you open your eyes.
You looked around curiously. You didn't know where you were.
But as soon as you searched the room, you saw All Might and Deku. Izuku was seated on his bed looking at you and Bakugo. As he caught your eyes he fixed his posture.
"Hey," you smiled at him.
You were not alone, and that was enough for you to rest your head on the pillow with ease.
"Kats," you beamed at him as he approached you.
Your head hurt a bit, and your body was sore. Like you hadn't moved your limbs for some good hours.
He watched you sweetly and smiled back softly. You were awake, talking and, beside some bruises and cuts, alright.
"We were so worried," Deku mumbled. You smiled at him too.
"I was worried too. You disappeared."
Deku assents. "I'm very happy that you are okay now, Yn! I'm glad that we all made it past it!" he smiled at both you and Katsuki. Which makes you grin harder.
You agreed with Midoriya as Katsuki observed you both.
"Thanks," he whispered.
You turned to Bakugo. "You would have done the same."
His eyes glistened with some tears. "Yeah," he sighed deeply. "I would."
Katsuki sniffed a bit. "You scare the hell out of me, you know, dumbass."
With a gentle smile you mumbled, "Yeah?" and you tilted your head, trying to tease him.
"And what can I do to put a grin on that face of yours again?" you asked, voice raspy and low.
"Go on a date with me."
You opened your mouth a bit stunned. If you had turned your face, you would have seen the smile on Deku's face or perhaps the shine in his eyes.
HC with Bakugou, Shoji and Todoroki with a fem! crush that has a Medusa Peculiarity (of the mythology) and it can petrify living beings like the Medusa of mythology, has snakes in place of the hair, until it manages to control the power and until to break the petrification. But she is discriminated by appearance and many say she seems to be a villain and not a heroine.
Katsuki Bakugou
“Eh? What are you little fucks doing?”
“Shit, it’s the blazing devil!”
Bakugou’s eye would twitch, getting ready to cuss them out once again and who knows, maybe release some steam?
He stopped however, when his eyes landed on your figure.
Eyes getting glassy and red, however refusing to cry
When his gaze held yours you immediately looked away, almost hurting him by rejecting him like that
“I mean, have you seen the chick? Her hair is fucking snakes! How creepy is that?”
They laughed, efficiently earning yours and Katsuki’s attention
“Don’t call her that, you bastards!”
In a few seconds, they were beaten down to a pulp
You stood there, eyes wide and mouth hanging open
“Did you just... defend me?”
Katsuki was shocked
“Ha, you wish I did, little girl.”
Ah, yeah, Bakugou was indeed an asshole-
“Next time turn the bastards to stone; they are trash, like their taste in women.”
Without realising, he gave his crush on you away
Shoji
“Leave.”
“Said the weak guy with the monster-looking body. Perhaps that’s why you are defending it?”
Shoji would rather not pick a fight with anyone, but your discomfort was so obvious to him who cared about you that he couldn’t leave it alone
“What you are doing is not right.”
“And who are you to determine that?”
You suddenly appeared in front of Shoji, surprising everyone
“Leave, or else I will report it to the teachers. Enough is enough!”
The bullies clenched their jaws, shaking their heads
“Or else, this villain here could turn you to stone?” You smirked devilishly
They left, not before spitting on the ground
“Hey, Shoji, are you okay?” You asked him worriedly
He blinked and nodded
That was totally UNCOOL of him
You ended up defending him!
As he was beating himself up over it, you pet his head
“No worries about me, I can take care of myself! Be careful from now on, Shoji!”
And with that you were gone, reminding Shoji why he liked you in the first place
Shouto Todoroki
“I suggest you apologise and leave before I lose my temper.”
Shouto sincerely didn’t mean to speak
He was just... upset. Mad that they were bullying his crush
Before he could control himself he spoke out
Did he regret it though?
Hell no
“And what are you going to do, half and half freak? Defend your fellow freak?”
“Hey, don’t talk to Todoroki like that!”
“Or else what, you idiot? What will you do?”
“The question that matters is what I will do to you if you keep this up.”
“Shouto...?”
He couldn’t believe you called him by his first name.
Suddenly his attention was all on you, looking at you puzzled.
“I-I mean, Todoroki?”
What was he supposed to do? to say?
Did he mess this up?
He would have to ask team Midoriya later or else he would explode-
“Not worth picking a fight with him, he’s strong. Let’s leave him to deal with the villain-looking chick.”
Shouto activated his quirk, instantly making ice shot out.
“Not worth it, Todoroki. Thank you though...” You said as you smiled up at him shyly, turning around to leave the scene.
