Kadison is the oldest sister of Meira and Althaia, and thus the one most bridled with responsibility. While her parents indulged her sisters' troubled natures with gifts, she has only known work. Work to keep her family safe, and work to watch over their lands until her parents deign to return home.

Whatever alternative life she could longingly fantasize about behind closed doors, Kadison has resigned to live out the customs of her country as a dutiful, strict eldest child with unspoken dreams.
