Want a homemade Thanksgiving without this mess? We've got you covered!
Order a whole Kahula Cake, Chai Coffee Cake or Pumpkin Loaf for Thanksgiving — we'll bake it, and you can pick it up Thanksgiving morning!
With Thanksgiving less than two weeks away, we know you might be freaking out a little. So many relatives, so much to bake, so little time. But have no fear — Church Street is here to help your holiday go smoothly:
We'll be open Thanksgiving morning! Hosting a house full of family? You'll need to keep them happy — and that means making sure no one goes without their caffeine fix. We'll be open until noon, so you can bring the family over. Or maybe you'll just need an escape? Call ahead (205-870-1117), and we can set up a Coffee Traveler for you — that's a no-fuss, to-go box of coffee that serves about 12 people. (And don't forget the Kids' Table: We do Hot Chocolate Travelers, too!)
We're now stocking cookbooks. We know you want to make your table special, and that means balancing traditional recipes with new favorites. Starting tomorrow, we'll have a variety of cooking and baking books on display to help you choose the perfect menu.
Pre-order homemade (well, Church-Street-made) cakes. Our bakers, Heather and Emily, will be baking round-the-clock ... so you don't have to. For Thanksgiving, we'll be offering our Chai Coffee Cake (a cinnamon-y coffee cake that's perfect breakfast or for light snacking) and our yummy, made-from-scratch Pumpkin Loaf. Of course, we'll also have our famous Kahlua Cake available — it's packed with chocolate and doused with Kahlua for a real holiday treat. We'll take orders up until noon on the 23rd, but get your order in soon so you can check it off your list! (To place an order, call us at 205-870-1117 or email [email protected] with your name, phone number, and which cake you'd prefer.)
Stock up on the perfect Thanksgiving coffee — Guatemala! We love all our Primavera coffees, but Guatemala pairs especially well with the flavors of Thanksgiving. Pick up beans to make at home, and, we promise, you'll get compliments from your guests on your excellent brewing skills. (Don't have a grinder at home? We'll grind the beans for you, free of charge of course.)
From all of us at Church Street, here's to a happy Thanksgiving season!
