Just a drabble I wrote about my favorite character ever. Happy reading.💜

Something in him changed that night. Who did he kid, it changed when he met her. When she pulled him from the shackles of the Aldmeri. Kynareth sent him an apostle, the embodiment of everything he could’ve dreamed for. A savior. A companion. A reason. Though, stupidly he hadn’t known it yet, and had been cold, unfair to her.
A boy, living under his keepers’ ideology. "Never let another in, never get too close, never stay anywhere too long.” All of which he had broken for her. Brynjar would curse him from the grave surely, what a stupid man Kaidan was. Every excuse seemed weak. In truth, he hadn’t noticed just how devoted he felt to her in the coming weeks. He couldn’t say need, no, that was too intimate. But he was her shadow, following her around like a lovesick puppy. Mimicking her stance as she hunched over another alchemy table. Sharing in her thoughts as they perused Belethor’s stock; and he fucking loved it. He loved watching men walk away from her as he approached. Loved that soft, enigmatic smile light the thousand suns, loved her divine aura.
But it was too much. Too deep for him to handle in such short time. She would become a liability to him, to her own safety. A swordsman is only as sharp as the mind was, and she absorbed all the bit of sanity he had left to hold. It was cruel to leave her, or perhaps it wasn’t. It was surely one-sided what he felt, they have only been companions for a short while, but she didn't need him any longer. Her skill in magic was unmatched, and only growing, a spectacle to see. And Dragonborn. She was destined for greatness. Kaidan, was in fact none of it, far from it.
Yet still, he stood in his room, feeling unjust in his thoughts, like he had stabbed her in the chest. He fell to his knees in his room of the inn. Eyes wide, a sting under his lids. His soul crushed in anguish as he replayed the last moment ago. Silent as a ghost he peaked in her room, expecting her to be sound asleep. His last memory of her, didn't want to be in the tense stir of battle, but to see her undressed of her burdens and serenely beautiful. Instead curious as ever, he watched her kneeling at the base of her bed. Her words were a whisper, but raught of hope.
“ I know not of the man he was before sweet lady Mara.” She sniffed. Clasping the pendant, holding it close to her skull. “ But I ask that you show him the way to healing. To your Love. Give him light and let the wounds the evil-inflicted heal under your benevolence. “ His heart throbbed, an overwhelming sense of…something, festered in every muscle, his body felt washed, if for a second, of sin. His hair stood on edge.
“ Or show me path. Laden me with his sorrow so that I might help deliver him to peace. “
He pulled his own pendant from his pockets, staring at the craftsmanship as he replayed her words. Barely a man she knew, he thought. Yet, asked the gods to give her his sorrow, so that she can bring him…peace.
A wash of guilt came over, his head hung in shame as he remembered his predisposed intentions. While he planned to flee, she asked a divine to save him. She prayed over him.
Nothing he knew now, would keep her from him. This much would forever be true. As long as she wished, he would be her sword, her shadow. He bowed his head, a small smile on his lips, as he realised his feelings. An unbreakable bond had formed, an underlying lust of companionship had been sated, he would never feel alone as long as he had her. This had to be love.
He closed his eyes, sighed deeply. “ Lady Kynareth, thank you.”

An: This one is super short but has been in my journal for a while lol. Is it the best? Probs not. But I figured I should post it. I have another one with Serana that I'll probably post sooner or later. Regardless I hope y'all enjoy this one.
The room is bathed in red. It clings to the walls, the floorboards. Sinks into the blanket wound around them. It is in his lungs with each breath in. Heavy with the scent of old wood and the herbs still hanging to dry.
It is warmth against him. Within him sunlight stains his skin golden. Thin strips of early dawn leaking through the slats of the window. Gauzy hues of light filter through the slight dust in the air. Shifting and scattering like startled birds with every slight breeze.
His skin near burns from where he touches him. Body soft, hair loose. Lips parted as she breathes. Gentle puffs of air rolling warm over his skin. Her head rests on his chest. Ear firm over where his heart beats. Her hand rests on his arm. Her hold firm, as if worried he would have moved in the night.
It is moments such as these he swears she would crawl into his skin if she would. Curl up between his ribs like a fawn beneath a tree. Carve her very figure into his bones. Even then that would not be close enough for her.
Kaidan shifted. Barely moved. Hardly breathed. Unwilling to disturb her rest even as his back began to ache and his arm grows numb.
His hand moves on its own. Slow and reverent. As though he were touching something sacred rather than simply brushing her hair from her face.
It bared her to him. Showed him the ungaurded part of her. Gone was the pinch between her brows, the tensed muscles of her jaw. Now lax and soft. Gentled only around him.
Kaidan breathed. Trailing his fingers along her cheek, the slope of her nose, down to her jaw. Then finally resting against the pulse of her neck. Assuring himself she was very much still there.
Kyne forgive him.
It was the trust that I did him. And he did not understand it.
What God looked at the blood in his hands. The years of violence, the things he had done to survive, and decided that this was something that he deserved?
His jaw tenses. Hand drifting once more. Hovering over her. As if he where afraid to touch her, to stain her with the violence left behind. Worried it would shatter this illusion of peace.
Call him a coward. He was terrified of losing this. Her. That it would end as it always had. In blood. In terror. In shame.
"I don't deserve you." His voice rasped. Throat aching. No one to hear but his own ears and the demon that rests on his back. If she were awake he knew she would vehemently disagree. Then rattle a hundred reasons why she was right.
Kaidan shifts easing her into the bed. She shifts. Mumbling nonsense. Face pinching in a way that had him chuckling. Then again as her arm reached out. Grabbing his hand to pull him back towards the bed.
"Easy, Little Dragon." Kaidan leans down. Pressing his lips between her brows soothing the pinch between them. "I'll be back." He tells her as he pulls away. Almost immediately she rolls to his side. Stealing the warmth he left behind.
The room ebbs from red to gold. Her eyes open. Looking up at him. Blinking away sleep. She shifts on the bed. Stretching out until she rolls onto her stomach. Head turning so she could watch him.
"Are we stilling going to that muesam in Dawnstar?" His dragon asks. Yawning wildly. She had been on about it since the courrier had given her the paper. Her curiosity burning to know what was inside.
Kaidan laughs warmly. Pulling on his trousers. "Aye. As soon as you get movin'." She huffs. Burrowing under the blankets.
"S'cold." Muffled by the sheets. Kaidan looks over at her. She was little more than a lump on the bed. Hair peeking out from the edge of the blanket. He shakes his head.
"I'll get the hearth going." She gets up as he kneels before it. Pressing her chest against his back. Skin to skin. A soft warmth. She leans in. Chin on his shoulder. Covering them both with the red blanket.
Not a terrible start to the day. And he knows any thought or worry this dawn would be carried away within her light.
The seasons were changing again, leaves turning hues of yellow, red, and orange, the sounds of grass and leaves crunching beneath boots. I glanced at Kaidan beside me before returning my attention to the path in front of me. We had just packed up camp on our way back to Riften, having successfully completing a bounty on the far side of the hold. The sun filtered through the changing leaves as it rose, not quite having warmed the world yet with its fire I shivered slightly as morning dew soaked into my boots.
"You cold Dragonborn?" Kaidan's voice startled me from my thoughts, his eyes searching my face.
"No, not particularly," I replied. I tilted my head up at him for a moment before a I set my eyes back on the path. Kaidan grunted at my response, clearly not satisfied with it.
It wasn't until sunset that we got back to Riften, signaling that we should wait until tomorrow to turn in the bounty. We carefully navigated through the streets of Riften until we came to the front of Honeyside and stepped inside.
"I'll get a fire going," Kaidan said immediately as he shucked off his boots and armor.
I moved away from the entryway and into the bedroom to change into something warm before stepping out the back door. Releasing I sigh, I leaned against the balcony's banister. Gazing out at the waters of Riften's harbor, I almost didn't hear the door opening behind me.
"Wouldn't be surprised if it rained tomorrow." The sound of my own voice startled me, rough and exhausted from travel. Kaidan hummed in response, resting his arms on the banister beside me. Closing my eyes, I leaned into his shoulder, resting my head on his arm. His arm moved from under my head, causing me to whine softly in annoyance.
"Just moving my arm, little dragon, no need to be grumpy." He chuckled softly as he moved his arm around my shoulders and pulled me into his chest. I released a contented sigh and turned around in his arm, resting my forehead against his chest.
"Are you ready to head back inside, little dragon?" Kaidan asks, rubbing the space between my shoulders with his warm hand. I shrug, content with where I was, warm and safe wrapped up in his arms. "Let's go inside and rest by the fire, sweet'eart."
We wander back inside, Kaidan herding me through the house until I sat in front of the fire. Kaidan sat behind me, pulling into his chest and resting his chin on my head. I relaxed against him, feeling and hearing his strong heartbeat as I turn my head to the side.
"Mm love you," my words slur as sleep pulls under.
Kaidan's quiet for a moment, "love you too, sweetheart. I'll be right here when you wake up."
Safety is a feeling you'll never lack in her strong arms. Securing you close to her chest so you can feel the drum of her heartbeat, slowly picking up speed as she stirs awake from her slumber.
And she smiles at you, sleep in her eyes and all, the first thing she ever thinks to do is express her happiness at you being by her side.
Tightening her hold for a moment so she could give your forehead a tender kiss. She looks at you as if you were something fragile, as if it was her duty to protect you. No matter how strong you might be, at that moment, you have no doubt she'll take a bullet for you and more.
The two of you have to get up soon before Joker's announcement calls for your required presence. But Ashley can't help but linger on you, steal a few more moments of peacefulness before the blaring of shotguns is all that she may hear for the rest of her day.
Her hair is a mess, black strands sprawled on the pillow below her. Framing her face and giving her a more gentle look than her usual tight bun hairstyle does. Her upper body bare with her chest pressed against yours. She smells like that one soap she keeps stocked on the Normandy since she has joined your crew.
You feel lucky being one of the few able to see her in this intimate state.
☆
Kaidan
He has an alarm that he ignores, preferring to cling more into your body and bury his face against your neck and shoulder. Leaving the alarm annoying beeping.
With a sigh, you reach over and turn it off. Except it's one of those alarms that require you to solve a simple equation to turn off, simple by Alenko's standards. The same one cuddling into your body and refusing to let go from the warmth.
So the poor alarm ends up thrown across the room, or stuffed under the bed with a pillow to muffle its sound. You wonder why does he keep buying them when he keeps ignoring them.
Running your fingers through his hair gently, you pry him off of your neck in an attempt to get him to wake up. He's always groggy in the morning as he attempts to blink the tiredness away from his eyes.
A clear contrast to his usual disciplined self, freshly out of sleep, Kaidan is not someone you want to come across on the Normandy. The morning is around the time when he needs to take his required medication for L2 implants and migraines since he'll not be granted another opportunity of free time until the day is over.
Your presence during it has been helping him in more ways that he cares to admit, your warmth chasing away the stray nightmares that used to plague his mind each night.
☆
Joker
The two of make it work, with a lot of patience and being mindful of his osteogenesis.
While cuddling, he is the one on top to avoid any pressure on his bones. He's the one hugging into you with his head resting on your strong arms. He tries to lighten the mood whenever he notices how careful you're being, a part of him hates his hugs not being reciprocated but he understands why.
Still, this is vastly better than sleeping alone on his bed. Feeling you underneath him, listening to your calming heartbeat. It almost makes everything worth it, every sleepless night spent studying during the academy, every day spent alone, every empty bed.
He trusts you with himself, with his genuine vulnerability hidden under his witty jokes and sharp mind. He is aware of how much effort you're putting in. How you truly see him as a person and not a charity cases.
He's usually the one waking up first, pilot training and all. Quietly leaving the bed to not disturb you as he goes and checks to the helm to check on the ship's states. Him and Dr.Chakwas are the first early birds aboard the ship and they've grown into a comfortable routine of doing the opening shift as the rest of the crew stirs awake one by one.
By the time he's done, he makes sure to prepare a hot morning drink for you and take it back to your quarters. Sitting on the edge of the bed.
His smirking face behind the steam from the hot cup is the first sight you see in the morning. His voice telling you an awful pun that has you almost choking on your drink with a groan is the first thing you hear.
And you wouldn't have it any other way.
☆
Garrus
He's unsure of this arrangement at first, of if this is who you really want to cuddle up to.
Human skin is squishy, fragile and soft, unbelievably so when compared to Turians' hard plated shells. Humans are just bare with nothing to protect them whilst having fuller bodies than other aliens with soft skin. Yet somehow, Turians are supposed to believe these soft creatures are the apex of their own planet, evolving from predators with their forward facing eyes rather than prey.
Garrus has always wanted to feel a human up close, their soft fragile throats that any Turian could squeeze so easily in their large clawed hands. Break with their talons like an eggshell.
Yet this race was incredible resilient, quickly stealing the Turian's reputation of being the most hostile race in the galaxy, the humans and their temper and fight or flight adrenaline responses were quickly making a name for themselves.
That's why he almost can't believe it when he gets to hold you in bed. Allowing him to almost pin you down so easily, to wrap his large claws and long arms around you. Nuzzle your bare neck with his sharp mouth and enhale your scent.
Turians would battle for dominance amongst themselves, a play pretend sort of fight that comes from deep natural urges to top the other even in relationships. So from his view, you allowing him to hold you so close and sleep next your defenceless form is you surrendering to him.
Garrus has never been the aggressive type, even by Turian standards he was too nice at times. Yet something about you is digging at these buried ancient instincts of his, the low deep growls each morning when you try to pull away, the tighten of his sharp claws around you.
It comes so naturally that he does it unconsciously, not realising the growling sound is coming from the back of his throat in the morning until he clears his throat in embassment. Unaware of the soft squecks and caws he lets out each night when you scatch behind his neck and he melts into your touch before falling asleep.
☆
Wrex
He prefers short naps throughout the day so he may stay alert even through the night, it comes naturally for his species to be on their gaurd through most hours, that's what makes them such great fighers.
But you're a bad influence on him, coaxing him with you into this bundle of soft sheets and blankets that you humans call a bed. Making him lay on his back, a position so intimate for Krogans to be in, and cuddling to his side.
You're...warm. the skin and meat seperating your heart from his hand is so thin in comparison to his. Are humans not afraid? How could they have evolved to have their heart at such an exposed location for all to see and touch.
And to think you were supposed to be the predetor and him the prey, so why does he get this urge to protect you. To keep your bones intact and never allow any harm your way.
A wolf in sheep clothings, that's what humans are. He has to remind himself constantly not to get tricked by your seemingly harmless appearance. Tantalising lips or mesmerising eyes. That you're as dangerous as him if not more from what he has seen of you throughout the years. Terrifyingly cunningly at times and overrun by basic rage instincts at others, a volcano of emotions that's constantly erupting.
That's why laying next to you in the early morning is such a strain on his instincts. He can feel himself changing, his body relaxing around you and his mind resting for once. He can feel his gaurd lowering and he hates it, hates not being on his toes, not being on constant alert.
But you hug him so sweetly, cuddle his arm so tenderly and tell him to stay by your side. How could he refuse, is he even strong enough to refuse when your touches are the most intimate thing he has had during his whole life? When the feeling of a human sleeping next to him made him feel more safe than he ever did in the best of armours, and here he was supposed to be the one protecting you.
Wrex remains by your side until it's time to wake up, until it's time to start the routine he grew so familiar of.

Tali
The hum of the engine used to be what lulled her to sleep, and with how eerily silent the Normandy gets around this time, it leaves her restless.
The early morning is her respite, when the chatter and clinking of soldiers outside getting ready for the day is audible through the walls. Tali finds herself drifting off to a comfortable sleep, reassured that she is safe and alive with the sound of life around her.
She becomes incredibly cuddly in the early morning, as much as her restrictive suit allows. It's not the same one as her shore one, yet it is still as effective in protecting her immune system.
She wants to feel your warmth, your soft human skin and run feel your hair. But both of you know it's not possible yet. So you settle for hugging her waist closer to you, running a hand down her covered back and hoping it will make her feel something.
That maybe, just maybe, a sliver of your warmth will slip through.
By the time she is dozing off to dreamland, it's your turn to walk out the door and face your responsibilities. Leave the wamrth of your bed and ready your team for another survey of a freezing cold planet in the vast empty space of the universe.
☆
Liara
Her fingers are soothing as they run over your body, encouraging your muscles to relax and your eyelids to flutter open. Her melodic voice humming in your mind.
She manages to wake you up as peacefully as she can, eyes wide and full of wonder as she is ready to greet a new day with all the discoveries it may bring.
You wonder where she gets all this energy from, and why isn't it infectious. She seems the most awake of everyone in the morning, and yet she stays by your side in bed until you get all the rest you need.
You never had to tell her to stay either, she did it by herself. Claiming it feels like the right thing to do, how doting she can be on her loved one at times.
Liara is always curious about any dreams you may have, admitting how sometimes they can be like a window into a person's inner psyche. How much she wants to understand you better, on a deeper level than anyone before her ever did.
As if she wants to merge her soul with yours, and maybe to her own kind that's what true love is like. To liara, the mornings you share together remain the highlight of her day until nightime when she gets to feel your embrace again, hear your voice and listen as you tell her about how your day went.
There's so much to admire about her curious nature, her genuine love for knowledge and exploration. The way she likes her coffee especially sweet and the way she hums each morning to stirr you awake.
Something I thought about while role-playing in Skyrim last night. A soft moment between you and Kaidan. Trying something different, sorry if it's no good! ;_; BUT if y'all like little things like this, lmk and I might do more!

It's been hours since the sun surrendered to the horizon and denizens of Skyrim retreated to the warmth and comfort of their beds. You and your companions, however, sought the comforts of a well-packed tent and the warmth of the campfire that flickers and dances in the breeze. The tree you built your camp around grew quiet as Auri settled in for the night, all the while the sounds of mischievous whispers can be heard from Lucien and Inigo's shared tent. All that remained by the campfire were you and Kaidan, enveloped in a cocoon of tranquility.
The sound of Kaidan's voice, rich and warm, floated through the quiet as he recounted stories of his childhood to you. Try as you might to hear him out, you find yourself distracted. The campfire's flame continues its dance, illuminating your companion's features. The way his tattoo wraps around his cheek, a rare smile that graced his lips as he spoke, and the way his crimson eyes seem to glow with the light of the fire. He looked so perfect in this moment, and you couldn't tear yourself away from the sight. So enthralled, in fact, you hadn't noticed he'd stopped talking.
Kaidan quirked a brow, "Y/N...?" The corners of his lips still curled in a slight smile as he called out to you. "You've, uh... Been starin' at me for a while now. Everything alright?" Kaidan tilts his head slightly. You blink at him a few times, just now processing the situation.
"Oh," you begin, "Yeah, I'm alright, sorry." You shift in your seat around the fire, tilting your own head slightly as you drink in the sight of him once again. The words stumbled out before you even had the chance to think them over. "You're just so pretty." You say as you smile at him.
Kaidan's brows lift in surprise, both touched by genuineness of your tone and surprised by your brazenness. He scratches his cheek as he adverts his attention downward. Even in the dark of night with the only light being the glow of a small campfire, you can see his cheeks redden. Kaidan chuckles at your brazen statement before tentatively looking back over to you. "Ah, uh... Thanks. I- uh. I've been called a lot of things over the years but pretty..." His crimson eyes soften, a delicate look reserved for only you. "Pretty is a first. Thank you." He says before letting out a breathy chuckle.
The rest of the night was spent peacefully, wrapped up in the comfortable silence between you two. Even as the fire died out, as the icy fingers of Skyrim's night raked it's claws across the two of you, and even as you left him behind for the warmth of your bedroll. Kaidan found no greater warmth and comfort than your sweet words that replayed in his mind until he drifted off to sleep.
You weren’t even sure how you became a target for such horrid people. The Thalmor dressed in their elven armour and high robes, using the empire to ruin whatever they can in Skyrim. You were simply heading to the village to gather some produce and other items needed at the farm when you heard chanting and your world went black. When you had awoken the cell stank of death, it was cold and your body was chained up by your hands. When you opened your eyes you realised you were naked, small cuts over your body in random places maybe from cutting your clothes off. You had sobbed for ages before you went numb and your mouth went dry. Sometimes a guard would come in throw some bread into the cell, sometimes you couldn’t reach it and would starve more, watching the rats get to it instead. Time was irrelevant down here, you don’t know how many days it’d been or weeks, who knows, once the Thalmor got involved nobody would find you.
You awoke with a startle as you heard shouting and cursing, you looked up seeing them being in someone new. A man in nothing but underwear, snarling and cursing, thrashing against the hold of four men. The man stopped a Thalmor mage behind the group holding his hand up, magic emitting from it. The man was knocked out and carried to a cage where he was cuffed to the wall, left to dangle like yourself. You hung your head again as the guards went by your cell and laughed. One walked in and you kept your head down before fingers forced your chin up. The mage elf spat in your face muttering something in a language unknown before shoving your head and walking off. The guards laughed behind him locking your gate again and leaving. You kept your tears back wishing you could wipe the spit off your face.
The stranger eventually woke up, struggling against the holds before realising it was no use. So this is how you’d die, in some cell gods know where with a stranger.
“Hey” you frowned looking up and over to the man. You didn’t answer him just put your head down.
“Be quiet” you said praying no Thalmor were around.
“They’re gone” he added but you didn’t answer.
“My names Kaidan” he said.
“I don’t care” you muttered, but he heard.
“Do you know how long you’ve been down here?” He asked and you ignored him.
“Alright” he said softly.
The man, Kaidan, tried to make conversation, you ignored him afraid something might happen. Guards would come in, throw your pieces of bread or unglove their hands and touch your body, laughing at it. You felt humiliated every time they did, the man in the other cell yelling at them to stop only to get himself beat up. Kaidan threatened them every time they came in, threatened to chop their hands and heads off before feeding them to the skeever. You could feel yourself slipping everyday the Thalmor noticed and barely kept you alive by forcing food and water down your throat. Sometimes you’d catch wiff of a scent unknown to you, smelt like home and sweet rolls, mixed with the wilderness and alpha. You didn’t know if it was an elf or the man in the cell. You didn’t catch it very often due to the smell of death, rotting food and your own body fluids. You heard the familiar sound of the door squeaking open and closing heavily. You cursed another Thalmor here to humiliate you. There were already guards here and a Thalmor mage who was torturing Kaidan. You hated the sounds they made and closed your eyes trying to block them out. It stopped once Kaidan passed out and the mage left on the other side of the cells. You heard a whistle of an arrow shoot by and hit the guard in the chair. He fell to the ground and you froze looking to the door. Someone walked out, a warrior by the looks of it a bone bow in their hands, arrows on their back and a sword on their hip. They walked to where they just striked grabbing something off the bench and rushing to your cell. You panicked smelling alpha as well.
“I’m not here to hurt you” they said a kind smile on their face.
“I’m here to free you” they added going to your cuffs and unlocking them. They took off their cloak and wrapped it around your shoulders. You had fallen to the floor, knees aching at the hit.
“Here, I have a healing potion” they said handing you a small red vile. You took and sipped it, your wounds healing fully and the hunger going away.
“There’s someone else” you pointed to the cell across from you and they nodded.
“Wait here a moment” they said leaving.
“Who are you? I’ll kill everyone of you bastards once I’m free” Kaidan fought.
“I’m here to help” the stranger said unlocking him. He also fell to the ground, but caught himself, the stranger handed him a potion and he sighed standing up and drinking it. You shuddered pulling the cloak over you.
“There’s one more bastard up that way, I’d help but I don’t have my gear, I’ll tend to the girl” he said and the stranger nodded readying their bow and going up the way Kaidan pointed.
Kaidan approached and you finally got to see him clearer, he was strong and tall, long dark hair and dark eyes. His scent hit you and you finally knew where that nice scent was coming from. He faltered a bit nose flaring as he took in your scent before shaking his head slightly. You heard distant yelling from fighting before it stopped.
“Just wait here a moment I’ll be back” Kaidan said grabbing the dead guards mace and going after the stranger. You struggled to your legs glancing to the way out. You needed to thank the stranger though. You headed where they went and went up the stairs to see the dead mage that tortured Kaidan. Kaidan was bent over a chest pulling out a sword a smile on his face.
“Are you alright?” The stranger asked turning to you and helping you to sit down.
“I am now” you nodded smiling slightly.
“Who are you?” You asked and they smiled.
“I am Dragonborn” they said and you almost didn’t believe him if you hadn’t heard the rumours. Exact armour and gear along with the markings they had.
“Why save us? How did you know?” You asked.
“Your father is worried sick he’d sent out papers over the town I was passing through, I picked it up, I knew the Thalmor had been taking people, they’ve got multiple places like this over Skyrim” they explained.
“Gods” you whispered.
“The inn keeper saw Kaidan here get grabbed but didn’t want to say anything in fear of getting taken too” they added.
“Glad you found us” Kaidan spoke up and the Dragonborn smiled.
“Of course” they said.
“I’m in your debt Dragonborn, should you need someone to join your travels” Kaidan said shrugging on a plain black shirt and pants. You frowned slightly feeling something tugging in your mind at his words. The dragonborn frowned slightly also at you before smiling.
“It’s alright, you deserve a warm meal and rest, should I need you, I’ll find you” the Dragonborn nodded.
“I cannot repay in that way I’m not a skilled warrior I work at a farm, should you need shelter though and food please don’t hesitate to stop by” you spoke up and they smiled.
“Should fate cross our paths again I’ll stop by for a fresh meal” they nodded. You watched Kaidan gather his armour on and sheath his sword. You hadn’t been able to focus properly with his scent in such a small room. You wondered what the tug was also, why was he so special?
A/N: I am trying something new with my blog and adding the option to request Skyrim fanfiction, idk how well this will do but it is an option now
Kaidan and Ovidia were sitting next to each other in front of the fire they had made for the night whilst Lucien and Inigo went to go look for some more wood. They were almost right outside of Windhelm, the rumors of a kid trying to contact the Dark Brotherhood had intrigued Ovidia, but Ovidia didn’t feel safe in the city, even with Kaidan, Inigo, and Lucien.
Windhelm is notorious for its racism and Ovidia, a Breton, does not want any part in that, nor does she want her friends to be the targets of racism, so they are camping a little off the roads that lead right into the city.
Ovidia clutched her cloak around her tighter as she felt a cold breeze from the wind, Kaidan rubbed his hands together and held them in front of the fire. Her eyes followed his movements, trailing off as she admired the rest of his features. Ovidia shook the thoughts that came along with it away, she thought she just need sleep, she looks over to her bedroll and immediately craves the warmth of it.
“Kaidan, I’m going to bed, I’m freezing,” Ovidia says breaking the silence, she stands up and starts to head into the tent when she hears Kaidan’s voice.
“The cold this far north has a way of creeping into your bones - I could think of a way or two to keep you warm.”
Her heart stopped, she slowly turn around and locked her eyes with his somewhat darker ones, “What do you mean?”
“Thought you must have known by now, seen me stealing glances of you; any moment I’m with you I can only think of being closer.” Kaidan stood up, slowly walking towards Ovidia and putting his hand on her cheek. Ovidia tried so hard to not immediately melt into his hand.
“Stay with me tonight… you know I’ll still be there in the morning,” he whispered, his face only inches from hers.
“Gods, I want you too…”
“I could tear that armor right off your body… c’mere, you won’t need a campfire tonight.”
Kaidan guided them both into the tent, closing it up immediately so no one could intrude on this moment. His lips practically smashed into hers, his hands immediately went to her cloak and he threw it to the ground, their armors soon joining it as well.
He laid Ovidia down on her bedroll, his hands softly caressing her, his lips leaving a trail of kisses on her legs and then onto her thighs. He discarded her undergarments, and she felt him softly rubbing her clit, she let out a small gasp and jumped a bit at the touch, his hands were still a little cold and she didn’t notice until now.
“Do you like this?”
Ovidia nodded furiously, he chuckled and kept his pace for a bit before stopping and slipping his fingers into her, his mouth on her clit now. Ovidia writhed in pleasure as Kaidan’s head was buried between her legs, one hand on her thigh to hold her close to him. Her hands roamed down her body and one found its way into his hair, the other barely touching his hand before both of their hands clasped together.
Ovidia felt a pit in her stomach, one she hadn’t felt in a long time, she almost felt embarrassed over how easy it was for Kaidan to get her like this.
“Kai, please don’t stop, I’m close,” she moaned out, squeezing his hand slightly. The pace of his fingers mixed with his curling tongue was perfect, his fingers had already found her g spot. “Come for me, darling,” he said against her, he didn’t have to do much more before Ovidia released all over his fingers; which he then sucked clean.
The sight of it was so arousing for Ovidia, she was still trying to come down from her high as she pulled him up toward her face. Kaidan kissed her slowly as he started to discard his own undergarments, “I need you now,” he whispered as he pulled away from her lips, “Is this okay?” Kaidan had lined himself up at her entrance, but he wanted to ensure she was okay with it before he went further.
Ovidia smiled and nodded, he leaned down and kissed her once more before he slowly pushed himself in. She threw her head back with a gasp of pleasure, exposing her neck which Kaidan took advantage of as he left little love bites all over. He held her close to his body as he thrusted into her, slowly at first because he wanted to savor this moment, but the more of Ovidia’s moans he heard, the faster he got.
Her nails lightly scratched down his back, and one of his hands held the back of her head as he rested his head against hers, looking each other in the eyes. Both of them were now feeling their stomachs tighten, Ovidia tried to gasp out that she was close again but couldn’t, “I know, I am too” Kaidan moaned.
His pace quickened as he saw her eyes roll back and felt her body shake. He kissed her one last time before letting his own pleasure take over and releasing inside of her. He pulled out and collapsed next to her, both of them panting, neither of them knew what to say. Ovidia turned over and grabbed her blanket, draping it over them to keep them from getting cold, “Kai?”
“Yeah?”
“Will you hold me tonight?”
“Of course, Ovidia.” He pulled her close, his arms wrapped around her and both of them thought that they fit perfectly together; but didn’t dare say it.
Ovidia could hear the fire crackle outside of the tent, and Lucien and Inigo returning with the wood they went to collect earlier. Kaidan was already snoring lightly, so she soon fell into a deep sleep as well.
I had only just defeated alduin on the throat of the world- but it wasn’t enough. What I need is a plan- and the context of Alduin going to Sovngarde after cowering off in the heap of battle surly made a mess of things.
I needed a drink.
I thank my companions who had followed me through this unfortunate incident- one of them being Kaidan. He and I had known each other longest; with finding him in an abandoned prison, going through an old cave from his childhood, unmasking his past and heritage, and an ex lover.
This ex lover of his was a powerful destruction and conjuration mage, whom had a disturbed body due to her own mutilation for spells. Kaidan, in response, said that when she threatened my life, he lost any sympathy towards her. Thus, he killed her, and I suspected it took a toll on him mentally.
A couple weeks or so after the incident, Kaidan was clearing his mind still. What helped distract him was the fight on the throat of the world. It exhausted all of us, but it helped Kaidan move on from his past. He was still his broody, serious self, but he seemed more…distracted as of late.
We spent an entire day and a half in solitude. Inigo and Lucien had went off to the Bards College- Lucien wanted to look at some books, and Inigo had to tune his lute. Auri had kept a distance from the market and went to the inn for some jagga- she’ll be disappointed. Kaidan followed me to the blacksmith as I needed a tune up on my bow, and it was an awkward silence between us. Kaidan would eye me from to time to time, and I, of course, noticed but kept it to myself. His mood today seemed strange, and I could tell he was anxious about something due to his boots shuffling against the floor from time to time.
“This is a dwarven bow, pulls back perfectly twelve inches, and the quiver can hold up to eighty arrows.” Fihada, the owner of the flecher, spoke. He showed a case with a amber metal crafted bow, carved with dwarven material and a thick string.
“Looks great. How much for it?” I asked, tilting down to the bow with a gleam. Amazing how a weapon from an extinct race was still crafted after all this time.
“Well, I have a couple. Enchanted, sharpened, both or none. Which would you like?”
“Both.”
Fihada pulled out a dwarven bow, pulsing a red glow. “Fire enchantment, can pierce through heavy armor, around 1400 septims.”
I pulled my coin purse, the jingle caused the shop owner to grin.
Kaidan quickly put his hand on my arm, lightly touching to my hand with his other. I looked up, he furrowed his brows.
“Hey, I can get it if you want. I owe you this.” He mumbled, his voice was a crackle, like a fire in a cold home.
“I suppose.” I shrugged, he gave a soft hum and pulled out his own coin purse. In the heat of the moment, back when we faced a troll, Kaidan had his bow disarmed in battle, causing him to grab mine. Mine was not a war bow, it was made for less strong pulls and more quicker tactics- and in the heat of the moment, forgetting it was not his bow’s strength, completely snapped the string.
“Thanks for the business!”
The sky was a golden tropic, shining down on solitude and her lovely stones. Lucien and Inigo had already gotten back to the inn to rest, while Kaidan and I were alone. The silence came back, to us sitting in silence and only merely glancing at each other when the said other was looking away. I didn’t have the courage to speak, I still don’t, not with this gauge of a thick layer called “tension.” We decided to head back to the inn, where the group was rested.
“No Jagga? What type of inn is this?” I heard Auri complain to the keeper of the winking skeever.
“I.. I’m sorry we only sell Nord, Imperial, and Breton drinks here.” Corpulus Vinius sighed, he was rubbing the counter with a wet rag, cleaning up stains.
“Besides alcohol,” Lucien interrupted, “do you have any rooms for five?”
“Five?” Corpulus itched his neck, thinking for a second. “I’m sorry I only can give four for tonight…”
“One of us needs to share a room with each other. Is one of the rooms with two beds at least?” Inigo asked, bringing his tankard to the counter.
“No, but we have a one queen sized bed that can fit two.”
“Oh boy.” Auri tapped her fingers against the wall, very much keeping her hands away from wood.
“Hm.. is any of us alright with sharing a bed with anyone?”
“I erm..” Lucien’s awkward voice chimed, “I rather sleep alone in one room… if that is alright…”
“That’s fine, Lucien.” I nodded, and he was already leaving for the night. Poor chap was exhausted.
“Why don’t you and Kaidan share the room?“ Auri proposed, smiling slyly towards me. I fumbled, twisting my hand behind my back to grip my fist.
Kaidan cleared his throat, “would it be more appropriate if you two shared?”
“Why is it not appropriate for you two to share? You two are close friends, besides one can sleep on the floor if it’s that bad.”
“You just want a room by yourself too.” Inigo glanced to Auri, who giggled.
“Fine,” I sighed, touching my temples with my fingers. “We can work something out.”
“Aye. I’ll stand uh, guard if need be. I don’t need rest.” Kaidan tried to comfort the situation, leading me to run my hand through my bag to pay for the rooms.
“You do, but sharing a bed isn’t the worst since it’s just one night.” I paid for the rooms, and immediately Auri and Inigo went upstairs.
“Have a nice night!” Auri chirped, mostly looking at me and having a mischievous grin.
I faltered my footing slightly.
I would assume it was around eleven in the night, and the group was asleep as I sat at a table upstairs near the bedrooms while I drank. My armor was in the room, in the corner by the bed and I was in more comfortable clothing, a brown shirt with black trousers. I couldn’t sleep due to pondering over what transpired for the past month. Alduin, Sovngarde, Kaidan…
A door quietly creaked open, and I turned in my seat. Kaidan-who was out of his bulky armor and in a soft, low cut rugged shirt with loose pants-was gazing at me through the door.
“Y’alright?” He asked, opening the door fully and leaning against the frame.
“M’fine, just having something to drink before I sleep. What about you? Why aren’t you asleep yet?”
“I can’t sleep.” Kaidan mumbled lightly, his voice was forced but still gentle, a breeze tickled my earlobes.
“Hm?” I got up from my seat quietly, keeping a hand on the table, “What’s wrong, then?”
“I...” The tall man stuttered, pinching his eyes shut as he gulped down what I could tell to be his strained words, “Skyrim is cold, a very chilly province- you would be freezing once the weather hits. It will be freezing soon.. and I’d like to… help you stay warm…”
“What do you mean?” I asked, raising my brow as to egg him on more.
“Haven’t you figured it out?” He looked me in the eyes, standing up straight, his hands fidgeted by running through his messy hair. “Me… stealing glances of you… any moment I’m with you... I can only think of being closer… physically.. mentally..” his breath hitched as he saw how far he was going to his words. My chest was pattering.
“Come to bed with me, you know I’ll still be there in the morning..”
I flushed- he was suggesting.. oh gods. My whole body warmed, my arms crushing to my chest as to feel if my heart was still beating like a hummingbird.
“I-I.. uhm.. yes.. maybe..? Uhm..” I couldn’t speak, this felt embarrassing. I was independent, strong, free willed... but this moment made me feel so bashful. I didn’t know how to understand this.
“Are you blushin,’ dragonborn..?” Kaidan chuckled under his breath as he walked to me, taking my hand into his. His lovely shade of red eyes were codling down into my weakest conscious. “Let’s see how long that’ll last..?”
I obligated, giving a soft nod as we entered his room together, letting the door slowly close and letting a soft click play.
Kaidan kept his hands on mine the entire time, letting them run up my shoulders and to my cheek. His hands were large, as any Akivirian, and Kaidan used them so gently. His fingertips running across my skin, leaving gentle flutter kisses with the feeling of his freshly shaved face on my neck- it’s almost as if he prepared. He smelled so nice, and his hair was washed and still cold. Oh yes, he definitely prepped for this moment.
“You freshened up, didn’t you?” I spoke under my breath, causing Kaidan to leave a hum on my neck.
“It’s a coincidence, I assure you..” he gave a breathy chuckle, letting his hands slowly trail to my torso- he was hesitant, moving his head for his eyes and mine to be in contact as we exchanged consenting glances. He knew what he was doing, I wonder if he at least knew how he makes me so weak...
We haven’t touched our lips yet, though instinctively I felt hot under the collar. Kaidan was only touching to my cheek, staring me down with his gentle eyes. The moment was long and quiet, so far only eye contact was the most intimate moment. My hand gently rose, cupping to Kaidan’s cheek all the same as he did mine, but I tilted him down to me- the man was a towering sweetheart.
Kaidan accepted the tilt, leaning down to put his nose against mine. The hold of our breaths kept us on edge, through the mental contact of souls: our eyes. My entire body flared up as I contracted our lips together- finally. It was slow, and mostly breaths touching each other’s skin as we awkwardly sealed our lips. This kiss was what you would expect for a first time. Of course, Kaidan felt aback- as if it was his first. I knew it wasn’t, and that kind of got me a bit relentless. But his surprise and shock as to the kiss made me wonder if he accepted this more than the ones before.
Our lips touching for the first time felt electrified, for how small the connection was.
“You..” I breathed, once we got our space, “you’re okay with this.?”
The man smiled lightly to me, giving almost a soft chuckle, “Thought maybe I should be asking you that? Yes, I’m fine.”
“How should we..?” I asked, looking to the side as to distract me from staring too deep into his eyes. gods, those eyes..
Kaidan gave my cheek a gentle caress as to calm both of our nerves. “We’ll improvise.” Kaidan gave a soft twitch at his lips, like a smile, to me which was chasing butterflies around my stomach. I sighed and gave him a kiss to the chin.
“That works.”
Kaidan had gotten my lips again for another longing kiss, putting his hands on the bed as to coax me down to it. The tips of his fingers were leaving nerves working on my skin, as his fingertips connected to the nape of my neck, caressing down to my collarbone. The feeling was so gentle, and careful: complete opposite of how I knew Kaidan to be in battle. He was aggressive, rough, a tank in a fight. But now, he was so gentle and loving- it made my heart swell.
His hands rested on my shirt, and gave me his longing eyes to ask for the removal of the damned clothing- which I immediately acted on. I took the cloth off and even went as far as to tease my undergarment strap to fall off my shoulder.
As his cheeks went to match the color of his tattoo, he eyed my face and kept his hands on my shoulders, lightly using his thumbs to circle my skin.
“Can I take the rest off..?” He asked, so gently it was almost a whisper.
I smiled warmly to him and gave a soft nod, “yes.”
He took a gentle inhale as his fingers found the hooks to my undergarment, and lightly undid them. The straps gave into gravity as my garments fell off my body. I tossed them to the side as they were no longer wanted. I could almost hear Kaidan’s heart beat like a hummingbird. An adorable display, even so when he went to give a kiss to my chin for light measure.
Kaidan’s lips caressed down my neck and to my collarbone. His nose tickled my skin, along with his feather-like kisses. My body tingled and shivers were up my spine, which caused my back to curl towards him slightly. He was intrigued by this, continuing his lips to my abdomen as he ignored my breasts. The feeling had my heart sink a bit, but was reversed as his hands went to cup them, gently. Kaidan’s palms were warm and big, and they’re enough to be a bra themself.
Kaidan was not a talker, that was obvious. But it was curious to see his eyes speak for him. The way he looked at me, I could hear him say the most heart melting things- his actions spoke for him.
As a Hand stayed on my chest, with gentle fondles and playful squeezes, the other went to hook a finger onto my last undergarment. His lips were right under my stomach, and I could feel my entire body shake with anticipation. Kaidan gave me his longing stare, practically begging me to let him continue. I nodded quickly, and tried to lift my hips to help remove them faster.
Once removed, Kaidan silently gazed, plotting out his next move. Embarrassed, my legs hesitatingly went to close, but Kaidan put his palm on one of my knees in a light touch. He looked up to me, and gave me a small quirk of a smile. His fingers of his free hand laid against my inner thigh as a tease.
“Would you like to… prepare…?” He asked, removing his hand on my knee but keeping his other dangerously close to my abdomen, as he scooted his body up to nearly lay next to me. I bit my lip and raised a brow.
“How much do you think I need preparation?” I hummed. He shrugged playfully.
“I don’t mean to brag, but…” he snickered, which caused a humored huff of from me.
“Oh, fine then. Let’s sate your ego…” I replied and he gently kissed my cheek as a response.
His hand went to lovingly crawl down to my folds, eagerly awaiting my plea. This tease…
“Please.” I muttered, and he obliged. Two of his fingers dipped gently around my labia, feeling around. I inhaled at the sudden feeling, and silently watched his face as he did mine- most likely scanning for discomfort.
I can hear my arousal, and it made me shiver with embarrassing thoughts. Lip biting was my last resort to keeping my cool.
Once he got his fingers… wet… enough, he dipped in and I inhaled slowly. The impending ring of fire was more light and gentle than I would have expected. Nonetheless, it felt discomforting but not painful.
“You alright? It will pass… but tell me when it’s too much and I’ll stop…” he spoke, the second half being more clear and stern than his gentle ask. I gave him a nod.
“‘M fine… just gotta get past the…” I huffed and he nodded in an understanding. He curved his palm in a way that had the carpal of his hand rub against my clit. I whimpered slightly at the feeling and Kaidan took it as a good sign. He pushed his fingers in deeper, and started to make a more curving motion.
The ring felt less hot and more comforting. It slowly began to undo me into a mess. I relaxed my muscles and limbed gently against the bed. My mouth was slightly ajar, feeling so relaxed of just feeling his fingers. Hearing the sounds of his fingers thrusting in a quicker manner, even adding a third that I barely noticed, I felt my body go hot, mind numbingly hot.
Even as he stopped, I could feel my mouth water from the pleasure.
“Do you think you’re ready?”
“Huh?” I asked, just coming out of my dazed thoughts. Kaidan chuckled.
“I asked if you think you’re ready..”
I cleared my throat and hummed, lifting my torso up with my elbows balancing me.
“Yes.”
Kaidan’s swift movement of removing his clothes was short lived, and rather a blur. Though, I was in awe that he was, in fact, valid to brag. He moved his hand back down to me and gave a firm wipe, and lubricated his shaft. I let my legs fall in a opening display as I waited eagerly.
A hand on my knee, and with an aim, he slipped in. The ring of fire was hotter and brighter, a far harsher reaction than his tough fingers.
“Gods- I…” I impulsively whimpered, clasping my fingers over my lips. He gently went to hold a hand, which was basically now pinned to the bed, as his other pressed against the bed too, but left my other hand free. He looked down at me, dazed as I, as he waited for me to relax my nerves. Once I was in a less uncomfortable situation, he thrusted out and pushed back in gently, going farther in.
The process repeated till he hit my cervix. Kaidan sat in a patient demeanor, kissing my neck as I adjusted to him fairly quickly. I wrapped my legs around him, loosely, and asked for a continuation. He obliged.
Kaidan kept his eyes on me, and I felt a surge of flush fill my face as I awkwardly tried to keep the eye contact. I could tell he was amused at this. Considering he was closer and closer to just fucking me silly.
With hips hitting mine, I felt the edge gently grow closer. But it always felt far. Kaidan went to gently sit up, and placed his hands against my hip as he dug me closer. My hands wrapped around the sheets of the bed as I felt my body go limp. My skin felt hot, my brain was fuzzy with warmth, and my mouth let out sounds of pleasure. I did my best to see that I was never loud to wake the damn inn, especially my companions. But Kaidan made this oh so difficult.
The edge drew near, and I could hear Kaidan growing to the end as well. Oh, if the world ended I would be content to die on the spot.
“Ka-Kai..dan.” I stuttered, whining out his name as I felt my release on the tip. My breathing became vocal, and my legs squeezed him tight. My entire abdomen burned.
He predicted my edge, as a hand went to my clit and gently rubbed in a slow motion. That was the line, and my run came to an end. My breath became hitched as I felt it so hard to keep my voice contained. Kaidan went to kiss me to help, and I moaned into his mouth without shame. My hands twirling in his hair.
The hair gripping probably helped him release, because I couldn’t feel him anymore after my high. Just a very warm and wet sensation on my belly. His voice echoing my name in our kiss was sensational.
Taking all our energy to catch our breath and mind, we both slumped over on the bed. Heavily gasping.
Though, Kaidan snapped out of it quicker than me, and went to grab a rag to clean me and him up. He went to lay back down next to me, and we quietly went into each others arms, no words were needed.
As Masser and Secunda filled the night, Kaidan and I exchanged a voiceless cuddle, holding each other in a warm embrace as we let the night take us.
