There's one thing I noticed recently that I am too curious about. This needs more fanfiction. No, it's not a pairing, just a throwaway line that I cannot wrap my head around.
This isn't Roy saying that he's heard Feury is good with technology. When Roy pulls his team together, Feury says he hears Roy has an interesting hobby.
What hobby has he heard about?
Flame alchemy is hardly a hobby - it's more a speciality, I guess? That's probably the closest in-canon thing it could be. It's not like he heard Roy has a hobby for coups or anything.
But an actual hobby ... What ... hobby does Roy have? That would interest Feury??
Chess?
I submit that Roy is a Nerd.
I know, hardly a new idea, but the idea of him listening to a sci-fi radio show every week and being super into it feels right. Or Roy Mustang going into excited tangents talking about alchemy the way that Feury would about technology. Or sewing - someone had to make those gloves for him after all, and maybe it wasn't Riza.
I almost don't care what the hobby is. I just want to hear a million headcanons about Roy's hobby and how it's so well known in the military that it got Feury's attention.
