Hannibal's reaction to Bedelia telling him that he is “obsessively” intrigued by Will always makes me giggle. He looks like he wants to deny it, but then she goes on, scolding him like the mother she is.

Hannibal (2013 - 2015)
2x01 - Kaiseki
well, hannibal? we're waiting for an answer.
2x01 "Kaiseki"
Kaiseki 2x01
Thinking about how, as Alana used light therapy to recover Will’s memories, assuming the role of Hannibal, Will imagined her kissing him, while she looked all inky black - as the creature he imagines Hannibal to be.
You know now that I think about it, it’s entirely possible that Hannibal learned dining and serving skills from Murasaki or at least her servants.
In traditional Japanese cooking, it’s customary to explain every single dish served in complete detail when serving guests. This is especially true in Kaiseki meals and other multi course meals. The cook or server will literally tell you everything that is on that plate to the guest including what ingredients were used and how the dish was made.
In Hannibal Rising, Hannibal learned cooking etiquette from the chef at his uncle’s estate. So it’s not that unusual to think that he learned this while living with his aunt and uncle and carried it onto his own cooking.
Yes it’s extremely long and sometimes you want to just eat already, but it’s also part of the dining experience to know exactly what you’re consuming.
Which of course is an irony in Hannibal’s kitchen and dining room.
Well it took like three times as long as I thought it would and like ten times the effort but I got my first photo hanger thingy of fan art that's been gifted to me over the years! This is just art for my Forgiveness of the Lamb series. I legit cannot thank my fans enough for all the lovely art and fics and comments I've gotten for it! You guys have really cheered me up on my bad days and inspired me to write even more. I couldn't do what I do without y'all! Now to get the rest of the fan art up...
