take a headcanon to sign off for the night
Sei and Q-Taro knew each other briefly as children, as Sei stayed in the orphanage for a while after his parents died. Sei was honestly an ass to Q-Taro, but he probably figured out that Sei was NOT okay in the slightest, so he kept treating him decently and stuff until Sei got whisked away to the Satou household. Eventually in a non-doomed Kai-Taro universe, Q-Taro ends up reminiscing about some particularly odd children in the orphanage, eventually bringing up Sei, and getting rather confused when Kai has a visceral reaction until Kai either opens up, or manages to hide his upset, depends on your preferred Q-Kai angst :3. also this has inspired me to draw small-taro
