Past Headcanon

Kaji’s best friend in high school was named Anna Bukowski. She was an outlier polish student whose family had to move a lot due to her father’s work transfers. They were extremely close and Anna’s the only one Kaji has told about her powers. Anna asked her one day to show her the extent of her powers. Kaji showed her a few small things she could do. 

Anna criticized her, saying that she was holding back and that she’d never live her life correctly if she was stuck in the shadow of her overbearing father. Kaji was furious and turned her flame on Anna in anger. 

Anna was horrifically burned on her face and upper body and suffered permanent scarring after staying in the ICU for a month.

Kaji is still afraid to use her powers now, afraid to hurt someone near her again and isolate herself.

♥- What does 'love' mean to them? 

Kaji feels that love is accepting a person's flaws unconditionally. If she comes to the doorstep with a dead body and a scared expression, she needs someone to say "Come on in."

♠-  What are they afraid of?

Isolation. She thrives under the approval of others, and the day she has no one who shows her that will be the day she dies.

♦- What is the one thing about them that they are most proud of?

Her discipline. She likes that she's not easily persuaded and has the ability to rationalize almost anything.

♣- What is one thing that they find embarrassing?

Her mother used to call her a puppy because she laps up attention from others and sometimes this embarrasses her. Plus she blushes easily.

★- Do they prefer daytime or nighttime and why?

She prefers nighttime. Just sitting in her room with candles lit practicing her forms and perfecting her right jab.

☾- Are they prone to nightmares or dreamless sleep?

Kaji actually has a pretty peaceful sleep, but when she does have a nightmare, it sticks with her and she's spooked for a good few days.

☼- Something that/Someone who makes them happy

Her bestfriend, Anna, used to make her smile the brightest, until the accident. The memory is the most painful she's experienced now though. She still hasn't found someone to replace that spot.

☁- If they're caught out in the rain, how do they react?

She hates the rain, water isn't her favorite. So she gets a bit mopey and just trudges along in it.

Headcanon

Kaji owns a martial arts studio called Wei Martial Arts. She's had it for about a year and is one of the only ones around the city. She has a couple of beginner courses to ascend the ranks but she focues on advanced and solo classes along with some in weaponry such as staffs.
