[Commissioned by @wannabedemonlord. The last of the Maya monsters commissions, it is said that Kakasbal “made men become evil, violent, greedy, ambitious and finally impossible to satisfy.” He’s also said to be covered in monkey scrotums, but I decided not to include that bit of lore.]

Kakasbal, Lord of Ego, is an embodiment of self-centered and selfish impulses. In Kakasbal’s view, the ultimate good comes from the pursuit of one’s individual happiness and goals, and that societies have no right to impede on the desires of individuals, especially superior individuals who can make their goals a reality through effort and will. In practice, this monstrous selfishness leads to the collapse of families, friendships and governments, all of which Kakasbal despises. In areas heavily influenced by Kakasbal, might makes right, and people betray each other for minor gains and are constantly paranoid of being betrayed in turn.
Kakasbal is intensely hideous, and his body warps and shifts over time such that he has new deformities every day. These deformities are merely cosmetic, as he is fast and strong regardless of how twisted his form is. He can assume the form of a living shadow, and in this form he whispers tainted philosophy into men’s ears and takes over the bodies of his followers and enemies alike. Worshipers of the Ultimate Individual believe themselves to be uniquely suited to his power and wisdom, and Kakasbal often turns his worshipers against each other to stoke their ambition. He does not have allies, merely minions. The Lord of Ego does show a grudging respect towards more powerful paragons of selfishness, such as Caracalla or Mammon, even as he plots to usurp or manipulate them.
A number of monstrous creatures often follow and serve Kakasbal. Xills are common in his faith, combining their inherent militarism with Kakasbal’s doctrine to justify their expansionism and impose their will on others. Of all the sahkils, pakalchis are common servitors, feeding into the paranoia of lost loves and encouraging small-scale betrayals with massive reaching consequences, and qomoks stoke the hedonistic fires of those who feel as if too much is never enough. Mortal cultists of Kakasbal see zygominds as somewhere between the ultimate embodiment of the Lord of Ego’s doctrine and a dangerous temptation—a zygomind can literally shape the reality of those around it, with its victims living out fantasies of power and dominion until they starve to death.
In combat, Kakasbal turns allies against each other with mind-influencing magic. His favorite tactic is to possess a vulnerable party member, particularly a cleric of another divine power. The Grasping Shadow’s many eyed stare can suppress the effects of abjurative magic, allowing him to control the actions of even the best warded enemies. He does have powerful claws and horns, but prefers to use these as a last resort, rather than diving into melee combat. Due to his tremendous self-regard, he is willing to flee from a fight he appears to be losing. In such a case, he plots revenge, setting up a chain of personal betrayals more painful than physical violence.

Special Abilities
Aura of Treachery (Su) All creatures (other than sahkils) within 60 feet of Kakasbal must succeed a DC 31 Will save or be unable to cooperate with their allies. Creatures that fail their saves are no longer treated as allies to other creatures and can't provide flanking, use or benefit from teamwork feats or aid another actions, or allow other creatures to move through their space. Any spell or effect that requires a willing target fails if used on an affected creature, and even harmless effects require an attack roll (if applicable) and require affected creatures to attempt a saving throw to resist their effects (if a save is allowed). A creature that succeeds its save is immune to the aura of treachery of Kakasbal for the next 24 hours. This is a mind-influencing effect, and the save DC is Charisma based.
Ego Shield (Su) Kakasbal gains a deflection bonus to his AC and CMD and a resistance bonus to his Will saves equal to his Charisma modifier.
Flight (Su) Kakasbal’s flight is a supernatural ability.
Hypnotic Stare (Su): Kakasbal can focus his stare on one creature within 30 feet as a swift action. That creature takes a –3 penalty on Will saving throws. This ability acts as the hypnotic stare ability of a mesmerist. This is a mind-affecting effect.
Look of Fear (Su) 30 ft.; Will DC 33, nauseated 1 minute. The save DC is Charisma based and includes a +2 racial modifier from Kakasbal’s emotional focus. This is a mind-influencing fear effect.
Parting Influence (Su) When Kakasbal leaves a victim of his greater possession spell-like ability, he can use another one of his spell-like abilities on that target as an immediate action. If this spell-like ability targets more than one creature, it only effects the creature that was possessed.
Penetrating Stare (Su) A creature under the influence of Kakasbal’s stare gains no benefit from protection from evil or similar spells or effects that provide a blanket immunity to magical possession or control.
Sahkil Tormentor Traits (Ex/Su) Kakasbal is a powerful unique sahkil. He gains access to the following abilities
Immunity to charm and compulsion effects, death effects, disease, fear effects and poison
Resist cold 30, electricity 30 and sonic 30
Telepathy 300 ft.
Kakasbal’s natural weapons, as well as any weapons he wields, are treated as epic and evil for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction
Once per day, Kakasbal can summon any sahkil of CR 20 or lower with 100% chance of success
Kakasbal can grant spells, as listed in his divine information
Shadow Form (Su) As a standard action, Kakasbal can become incorporeal. In this form, he loses his natural armor bonus and Str score, and cannot use his rend ability. In incorporeal form, Kakasbal’s claw attacks become four touch attacks that each deal 2d8 points of damage and his gore attack becomes a touch attack that deals 1d8 points of damage. He may leave this form as a standard action.
Candy Corn (what food disgusts me the most): Slimy, wet, mushy stuff. steamed/boiled veggies in particular
Zombie (one food I always overeat): popcorn! any kind of popcorn, I could stuff that shit in my face all day.
Eerie (one thing that creeps me out): feeling like i’m being watched
Ghost (reincarnation: human or animal): I’d....like to say animal, ‘cause things would be simpler then. if I could I’d come back as some sort of bird of prey or a rhino
