Oldtakak Week 2022 is now a-go!

Planned date for the week is from November 27th to December 3rd!

Prompts are as follow:

Day 1: Birthdays, morning/night routine, disability

Day 2: “Parenting”/“grandparenting”, cooking, bickering

Day 3: Friends, night out/date night, anniversary

Day 4: Sleepless, PTSD, scars

Day 5: Travel, work/retirement, outdoors

Day 6: Beach, museum, art

Day 7: Vows/promises, rest, safe/content

When submitting something for this project on twitter or tumblr, please tag @oldtakakweek and tag it #oldtakakweek2022! This way your submission will for sure be seen

Beyond minimal usage of flashbacks, NO depictions of these two as minors for this project; please only depict them from the ending of part 4 and on. This project is to celebrate getting older and the life these two in particular could’ve had. So, while there’s nothing wrong with exploring younger jotakak and their dynamic from then, this is not the project for you if that’s what you want to focus on! It’s silly middle-age-to-old-men time

NSFW is ALLOWED considering all portrayals of these two should be well into adulthood in this project. No NSFW-specific prompts will be made, but the prompts are open-ended – so if you get an idea for one that ends up NSFW, feel free

Do NOT participate if you are “proship”/“anti-anti”. Beyond the given moral complications of being willing to sexualize minors, the moderator has experienced personal issues in their life that make it so they don’t want to work creatively with proshippers — so if nothing else, respect that.

No EARLY submissions please, but LATE submissions are 100 percent allowed! Hell, if you see this two years after it’s over and still want to participate, or if it takes you two years to finish a submission, please do still submit and tag!

kakyoin’s fucked up spine whenever it detects changes in the matress: im going to make such a big deal out of this

also here’s an add-on of their night routine:

image id: a sketchy, 8-paged digital comic, and a single digital sketch, of kakyoin noriaki and jotaro kujo from jojo’s bizarre adventure as old men, living together, had they both survived to make it to the point.

the comic:

in the first page, kakyoin wakes up slowly and finds he’s alone, the other side of the bed empty

in the second page, kakyoin is making warm drinks (tea for himself, coffee for jotaro), and then is seen rolling outside in a wheelchair, with aforementioned drinks on a tray in his lap. the sun is rising, their house close to the sea, as he heads towards a shed in the unfenced backyard

in the third page, jotaro is leaned over an aquarium tank, handling a nudibranch, gently carrying it to some algae to eat. he’s smiling, the scar on his face from pucci visible. kakyoin smiles at him privately before announcing his presence with a “morning.” jotaro turns, saying “oh! noriaki. morning”

in the fourth page, jotaro takes his cup and sips, while kakyoin grumbles, “you woke me up.” jotaro replies, “sorry.” kakyoin adds on, “on my birthday.” jotaro replies, “sorry.” kakyoin pauses before asking, “how are the nudis” and jotaro responds “good!”

in the fifth page, jotaro finishes his cup, smiling at kakyoin fondly. “thank you. for the coffee” he says

in the sixth page, kakyoin squirms a bit over the blatant gratitude, clearly unsure with how he should respond

in the seventh page, kakyoin breathes out, smiling with his eyes closed, ironically as if admitting defeat, while he says, “...sure. next time you wake me up though, i’m putting salt or cyanide in it.” jotaro laughs off screen

in the eighth page, jotaro has turned back to his tank, smiling softly as he promises, “i’ll be back inside soon,” and kakyoin comments, “you better!”. in the last panel, kakyoin is rolling back to the house and jotaro is facing his nudibranchs again. both are smiling as they do.

the sketch:

kakyoin is sitting on the bathroom counter in a nightgown, squinting as he focuses on shaving jotaro’s face, who’s standing patiently in his tank top and pajama pants. jotaro says, “you know noriaki, i can do this mys-” before kakyoin interupts, saying, “NO i want to. it’s practice so i don’t cut myself when i shave.” jotaro lets out an ironic “thanks...” in response to this

This is the most eloquent way to say friends that are in love.

He found "someone" that calms his heart just like holly, and it is her son.

He never said what gender that he preferred he just liked the personality that calmed his heart. Kakyoin was the only one in the entire series to understand jotaro other then holly,

Kakyoin spoke for him when jotaro didnt feel like talking, they really understood each other and kakyoin cought on to jotaros bad boy act quick.

They have a really strong unspoken bond and its beautiful. They really do understand each others hearts.

In this sceane kakyoin mimics jotaro's reson for saving him, when he says "he dosent know the reason for going with them". Thats probly because he couldnt put his finger on why he wants to be by jotaro's side himself.

This next sceane is so important to there dynamic.

At this point in there journey, jotaro has 100% faith in kakyoin, he knew for sure kakyoin would be at his side when he needed him, he knew him well enough to know what he was up to.

They both know why they want be togeather now, it just took a while to understand it for themselves.

There gay babbies.

bonus: their thought process

in the drawing, kakyoin stands in front of jotaro, relying on crutches to hold most of his weight. he’s wearing a sunhat, sunglasses, and long, flowy clothes. his hair is long and his face is creased in age. he’s smiling. jotaro behind him is in a short-sleeved button-up thrown over a tank top and cargo pants. he’s holding a map and staring at it with reading glasses on. he has a visor on and gray in his hair. both have facial hair, jotaro’s more prominent than kakyoin’s.

in the short comic, jotaro and kakyoin are laying in bed next to each other on their backs. kakyoin has a cardigan and glasses while jotaro is in a hat and turtleneck.

in panel one, kakyoin has his arms under his head as he says, “wow, retiring at 42, what a dream, huh?” jotaro hums his agreement next to him, eyes closed and hands folded across his stomach.

in panel two, neither say anything, holding their positions, as they pause, waiting for something

in panel three, kakyoin drops his arms from his head, gazing with an irritated expression at the ceiling, a look mirrored by jotaro. “i’m bored” kakyoin says, and jotaro agrees, “yeah.” “wanna go to thailand?” kakyoin follows up, and jotaro replies, “sure.”
