✨–Anna meeting Magnus

Anna is very young when she first saw Magnus. She was young but she knew he stood out. Just like I do. She chose to believe it was because of his confidence, his grace, the elegance with which he carried himself. We're both different. Anna isn't sure whether the sense of familiarity she feels with Magnus is because of that or..something else.

Either way, she knows she looks up to Magnus. She sort of admires him. For his confidence, his keen, unique, dressing.

For every time she saw Magnus after that, she felt a little more comfortable in her own skin. She looked up to him for carrying himself with so much dignity. Like there was nothing wrong or bad about him.

Anna decides Magnus will be her support. Her role model. She never tells anyone about this.

Later whenever she would feel self doubt creeping up on her, she would ask herself, would Magnus Bane let this get the better of him?. No, she knew, he would not. And neither will she.

It always helped.

Later Anna decides she should tell Magnus. Sometime. The guy gave her hope and support for all these years without ever even speaking to her. Polite smiles and nods.

Magnus visited the Institute one last time before leaving England. He had to settle a few things, then he'd be gone for good. He was on his way out when a girl stopped him. A red pendant rested aroung her neck.

"My name is Anna Lightwood. You are Magnus Bane, right? I'm..I'm so happy to meet you."

"Pleased to make your acquaintance too, dear Anna. Is there something you needed help with? Perhaps I can–"

"Ah no. I heard you were leaving and, well, I—you you're kind of like a role model for me Mr. Bane". That surprised Magnus. "I've always looked up to you. For a very long time. You definitely not know this but you've been my support for some of my most, difficult, time." Magnus smiled. He didn't know how he'd helped her, but he was glad he had.

"Always happy to help someone out dear Anna", he inclined his head and looked up to see the girl smiling with relief.

Anna was glad Magnus understood. She was worried that she'd have to give a more detailed explanation about herself but Magnus made it feel like she didn't have to. She knew she didn't have to.
