I’ll be honest, I converted screenshots for the detailed backgrounds. I had to consider my sanity and the fact that I am not very strong with drawing backgrounds in general. However, I did not just grayscale the images and turn them into halftone patterns. I took time to make sure that they were convincing enough to look like they were drawn so that they fit with my art style.

Kalath Portrait

Information about Kalath from his previous portrait.

Skin: I am not sure yet it he is mostly covered in skin, or if he has fine scales everywhere. I didn’t try to draw them here because it was just a quick doodle.

Eyes: Each pair can move and focus independently. He is apparently somewhere very bright right now because they are very contracted.

“Eyebrows” : He has facial muscles that can move them around a little, but they do not do much for his expression. They are mostly just spiky scales, not actual horn. They are only really for decoration.

Teeth: They did not come out well in this picture, they look like glued on cardboard or something. Egh. His teeth are supposed to be big and rather in the way. He does not have any sticking out at the very front of his mouth however, which keeps him from having too bad of a lisp or something.
