there are endless grimoire things about felwinter for me to fixate on, but i do love the felwinter peak card.

chiefly, three things which i can theorize on:

1. “before taking the Oath.” so, this implies becoming an iron lord was like, a formal ceremony. who made that up. how did it go. was it serious or did it eventually become a partial in-meme. i want to know.

2. “A chance meeting with Lord Timur in the Mothyards” please imagine how funny that probably was. and somehow it ended up with felwinter telling timur about rasputin and siva. @kalcificat come back so we can do that someday.

3. “extensive one-way audio recordings with an unknown entity survive (open Felwinter 9-C; open Rasputin 62-G; scan for possible links)” felwinter chitchatting (read: interrogating and being frustrated) with rasputin is prime material for so much.

ive thought through a decent amount of how their interactions went, and while most of it is “rasputin is always going to be cryptic”, it also points out the fact that rasputin was plenty awake then, did he go back to sleep after the siva crisis or has he just always been around, chilling?

Part of Felwinter wants to groan, the rest of him reminds that Timur is always a lively, intelligent conversationalist, and even when he is speaking nonsense, he usually comes around to a point Felwinter wants to hear. For a variety of reasons.

So Felwinter turns halfway around in his seat and entertains Lord Timur.

“Theoretically, no, especially when one’s processing allows for rather quick computations, without breaking other trains of thought.” One pro of being an Exo. “In practice, however - sometimes one just does not want to think about any math.”

Felwinter turns a little further to face Timur, and there is just a taste of teasing in his tone now. “Unless that someone is you, I imagine, Timur. No topic could dampen your Light, sour your mind, could it?”

  The Coyote was always a big fan of music, even if it didn’t seem like it, he’d find a nice quiet spot to sit down start strumming away on what seemed to be a guitar, though, it does the job. The song he was ‘singing’ was more like a mumbled memorial, something his fire-team had done as a tradition for fallen comrades, though, the Coyote felt more than comfortable with singing the song, trying to keep the name of fire-team alive.

For a long moment, Felwinter just stares at Timur.

This isn’t unusual. In fact, it’s fairly status quo for Lord Timur (with just an edge of extremes). That does not mean Felwinter is any less startled when Timur gets this way.

“Lord Timur, I understand the...importance of your work, however-” Felwinter draws out the word importance, as if tasting it to decide it it’s the right word to use- “Unlike myself, you require rest, therefore: go the fuck to sleep.”
