Kallus reciprocated by correcting small errors on Lyste’s reports.

Lyste, Kallus suspected, had memorized Kallus’s patrol schedule.

Kallus memorized Lyste’s schedule.

Lyste commed Kallus late at night with little, innocuous messages like:

<Did you receive the latest Imperial Directive?>

<Yes.>

And:

<Did you hear about those pirates in Garel?>

<No.>

<What happened?>

<They’ve been making rather a nuisance of themselves, by all accounts.>

<I see.>

(“Pirates do that sort of thing,” he didn’t say.)

<How is the Senator coping?>

<She’s been waiting to hear back from the Navy>

<I told her to go to ISB for help instead.>

<Let me know if she encounters difficulties.>

And:

<Have you found your code-cylinder starts to stick after a year or so? I’ve never gone this long without losing it before. Is that something I should try to fix or get replaced?>

<Replaced.>

And:

<I’m due for leave soon, and I’m wondering where to go.>

<Where did you go last time?>

<I took a crashed escape pod to an ice moon orbiting Geonosis.>

<Coruscant. I usually just go to Coruscant.>

<I do miss Coruscant.>

<So do I.>

Ashla’s Will and Clandestine Meeting

So to help myself mentally prepare for the end of Rebels, I finally finished the sequel to Light of Lothal! Well two. A little in between one shot and the actual sequel. You don’t have to read the one shot to understand the sequel but if you want feels an angst....anyways here they are!
