Bandai Japan Announces Kamen Ridertchi, a Kamen Rider Tamagotchi
Give them more collaborations! Bandai Japan as just announced its latest Tamagotchi collaboration, Kamen Rider fans can rejoice. To help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider, a popular Japanese television program and manga, Bandai Japan has announced an upcoming Kamen Rider Tamagotchi nicknamed ‘Kamen Ridertchi’. The Kamen Ridertchi is a Kamen Rider Tamagotchi is an upcoming licensed Tamagotchi Nano with forty Kamen Rider characters to that can be trained. This is the most characters featured on a Tamagotchi Nano ever. There are more than seven types of secret Kamen Rider characters that you can train too. Bandai Japan actually owns the two rights to Kamen Rider Japan so this collaboration is a match made in heaven.
The Kamen Ridertchi will come in two different shell designs. The first one is a gorgeous ‘Genesis Green’ which features Karmen Rider No. 1, and the second is ‘Legacy Gold’ which features the image of the gina power-up form that appears in the history of Kamen Rider from Showa to Reiwa.
Mini games will allow you to take help train and develop into various Kamen Riders, the two mini games are “Rider Rock” and “Challenge Ride” which follow the world view of Kamen Rider. The “Rider Rock” game will have you press a series of buttons while Kamen Rider is displayed on the screen. “Challenge Ride” is a game which Kamen Rider runs while avoiding obstacles. These sound like the typical Tamagotchi Nano games, but of course Kamen Rider themed.
The Kamen Ridertchi will also be sold at Kamen Rider stores, which include pop-up stores in Japan. The official release is scheduled for late December 2021, and pre-orders for the device will be available from Friday July 16th at 11:00 through Tuesday August 12, 2021 at 23:00. The Kamen Ridertchi will set you back ¥2,530 with tax included. The launch at this time is only announced for Japan, however it is important to note that Kamen Rider does have distribution of their merchandise in North America through a Bandai Namco subsidiary.
