Kanga had been debating over it for a while now. Whether or not it would be a good idea to put herself out there again. It had been years since she’d last attempted dating, but she felt it was time to try once more. Roo was old enough now that she might not have the trouble she’d had before. She didn’t need a sitter, and she might deter less people since her son was nearly grown now.

Or maybe that was in her head. In any case, she had made herself a dating profile online. Given the details that were most important: that she was a nurse, she had a son, and she couldn’t promise a lot of free time. She wrote some hobbies and things, but it all felt rather ridiculous. Even when she finally started communicating with some people she found it awkward. There was no face to face and it was impossible to tell what actual chemistry there might be.

So Kanga finally decided to hell with it and asked Al to meet her in person on a date. Maybe it was forward, but she preferred to know one way or another if there was any chance there. She knew a bit about Al as a businessman and a board member, but not much about him as a person. She even suggested Remy’s, though she tended to avoid spending too much on dining out. It seemed like a better environment to talk than a pizza place. And if they didn’t get along...well at least Kanga would have gotten a good meal out of the venture.

Kanga put on a patterned dress and started adjusting her make up. If Al decided to go through with this then he’d likely be by to get her soon enough. If not, then she would take herself out. She had just finished touching up on it when she heard a knock on the door and made her way over, opening the door with a polite smile. “Hi Al. How are you?”
