I think they're cute! Aradia and kanaya both have a thing for the dead (aradias archeology hobby and actual death along with kanayas zombie hunting/vampire literature) so maybe they have dates where kanaya beats up zombies and aradia tried to guess how they died or smth!
And also since aradia likes archeology maybe she shows up all dirty and stuff and kanaya is like "No" and sprays her with a hose kinda like this
Alternian rain has the acidic properties corrosive enough to melt a young troll’s eyes out of their skull if outside during its fall. Luckily for trollkind, rainfall almost always occurs during the day, when a young troll is fast asleep.
Unluckily for Kanaya Maryam, a young troll who spends all her wakefulness in the scorching sun and toxic clouds, rain prevented her from enjoying her day. Instead of strolling outside or reading a book under the awning, she was forced to avoid certain death, cooped up in her spacious home.
It was on these days that Kanaya would hear the familiar notification sound from Trollian, and rush over to answer her friend, Aradia.
AA: hey kanaya, y0u b0red yet?
Kanaya smiled. Not even her moirail took the time or even remembered to check on her during these dead, dead days.
GA: Why Yes, As It Happens, Im Almost Certainly Ready For This Day To Be Over, Or Perhaps More Specifically, For The Deadly Natural Occurrence Falling From The Sky To Cease Falling From The Sky
AA: th0ught s0!
AA: 11sEEdh7
GA: Excuse Me?
AA: it’s a c0de! i sent y0u a gift
GA: That’s Very Thoughtful, Aradia
Minutes later, a small potted plant arrived.
AA: y0u said y0ur m0ther needed a specific herb f0r her remedies, s0 i did s0me adventuring and f0und a sample!
Kanaya Maryam looked outside as the rain slowed. She placed the pot on her windowsill, breathing in the smell of the dried, burning air. It was a smell she grew fond of, for it meant the rain had stopped.
She closed her eyes and breathed again. A dead sky, a promise for new life on the windowsill, and Aradia Megido. She breathed in once more.
The newly-orphaned queen Kanaya is told to take a political consort from another country to forge an alliance and solidify her queenship in the eyes of the populace; Aradia, from Derse, is selected by her advisers.
Though they have never met until the joining ceremony, they have exchanged letters and painted portraits: the question now is will they get along?
