Gem: Jadeite (Located just below her sternum) It initially was pure green, but after it was cracked and repaired, white veins were apparent on the surface. Backstory: Initially, she was sent to Earth to watch over and protect the Kindergarden, and later induct the Gems created there into Gem society. However, when she found out what it was doing to the planet, and how it would kill those who dwell there, she decided to defect to the Signless’ side, and was gravely wounded in the ensuing battle. When her Gem was healed, she returned, her skin now white, and her latent abilities heightened. Now, she protects the Earth, even if nowadays it is largely peaceful. Example: Jadeite sat on the hill overlooking the ocean. Had she done the right thing in repelling the homeworld warriors? Surely, they had some merit to their intentions with the Kindergarden, it was what she had been raised to believe. But when she thought back to the worried faces of those who had waited patiently by her side while she healed, the humans who had found Jadeite to be too informal, and gave her the name ‘Kanaya’, she found her determination strengthened. She rose to her full height, an intimidating figure, and descended the hill, eager to return to her comrades. Maybe this planet wasn’t so bad, after all.
