For every ♪ in my inbox I’ll post a song I listen to for character inspiration.
Cave In - Owl City.
;;There are a lot of subtle things in the lyrics that make me think of Steven, in particular “I’ve had just about enough / Of quote “diamonds in the rough” / Because my backbone is paper thin / Get me out of this cavern or I’ll cave in” and given the background I gave him here, it works out pretty nicely. Not only that - it is sparkly enough for me to actually get motivated to do replies~!
What Kind of Friendship? || Green & Brendan (School AU)
"He's late. Again" Brendan checked the time on his cell phone. Thirty minutes late this time. Seriously... How are we friends. Brendan thought to himself as he waited impatiently outside of a cafe. Who exactly was here waiting for? The one and only Green Oak. They were in the same class and for some unknown reason, the two had become friends. Which was weird for Brendan.
Brendan was a total nerd while Green being the complete opposite. How could the two have become friends? "Damn it... Where is he?" he tapped his foot in annoyance as he re-postured his glasses and fixed his tie. The two were meeting up at the cafe before school to discuss a school project that they had been assigned. I'll just head to school if he doesn't appear in two minutes. he thought to himself.
Finally, Green had appeared. Short of breath as it seemed like he ran. "Oi, you're late again. This project is due soon you know that right?" he asked rhetorically and bonked his head with the project papers. "What made you so late anyway?" Brendan asked as he reached into his bag and took out more papers for the project. The two discussed the project a bit and pieced out together what they would do before putting their stuff away.
A waiter came by and asked if they wanted to order. Brendan ordered tea and placed his bag on the floor next to him. "Why did this have to be a partner project in the first place..." Brendan muttered as he pouted. "We would've been better off with individual assignments." he turned to look at Green. "So, have things gotten any better with that one girl? What was her name? Leaf?" he asked with a plain expression.
"I think everyone deserves love, but if I must choose, it would be my boss for giving me a home when I had none, that man who was nice enough to give me a free meal,”
"And uhm.. I suppose that person, too.. Something tells me she needs it.”
Clip: 3 habits you can’t get rid of.
"What do you think, Flaaffy? I would say.. tapping my feet, humming, and petting your wool."
She’s not particularly self-aware; moreso privy to the annoyances of those around her. As evidence to her claims Lulu’s hair stands on end from the electric current.
Don’t tell any of her pokemon, but Braixen is actually Laurel’s favorite pokemon (must have something to do with the witchy likeness). She’s never seen one in person, but she has always dreamed of owning one, someday.
These two words, two people, two lives were running through the mind of a very exasperated Green. How did these two meet, how did they even come to an idea of being together? What did Daisy see in that little... AUGH
As Green walked from room to room looking for Daisy he couldn't help but reminisce about what took place in each room, the time spent arguing over who got the remote, the immaculate dinners that Daisy (sometimes with the help of their Grandpa) would serve up and who could forget that time Green was cajoled into letting Leaf bleaching a blonde streak in his hair? Daisy had just about scrubbed his head raw in an effort to avoid having a bald line going across his head.
Green laughed and muttered a small agreement that he had given Daisy a lot of trouble when they were younger, even now, after two years of his absence they were already at each other's throats about Bill. It wasn't that Green minded that Daisy was seeing someone, after all, he was crossing his fingers when he told Daisy that he hadn't picked up any girls while he was out and about. But, it was just.
Why Bill?
He decided that if Bill was going to see his sister, he'd have to go down to Cerulean and see if he was good enough for Daisy. Green zipped up his jacket and was out the door, his next stop was Bill's Laboratory for a little one on one.
"Too bad you're not double-jointed... You could bend over and kiss your ass goodbye!!"
Mun: “Holy shit! Is that Green? May! May! Go get his autograph!”
May: “He just threatened you!”
Mun: “It’s GREEN! It’s what he does. Hell from him, it’s practically affection.
May shielded Joanna, pushing the writer back behind her. “Don’t bully her. She freaks out too easily. She screams when she plays first shooter games.”
"Hey!"
May ignored her mun and fingered one of the pokeballs at her belt. “Even if you’re one of Kanto’s Champions, If you want to mess with her, you’ll have to go through me first.”
