Bien qu'au final, il se sacrifie pour sauver son fils créant la forteresse de solitude. Il lui dit qu'il est fier de lui pour ce qu'il est devenu. C'est à la fois doux et amère car dans le final de la saison 1, il se sépare de son fils revivant à nouveau la fois où il a dû se séparer de lui. Montrant le côté tragique de cette scène, cette fois ci, ils ont pu se parler proprement avant de se séparer et laissant les dernières infos pour retrouver Kara.

Although in the end, he sacrifices himself to save his son, creating the fortress of solitude. He tells him he's proud of him for what he's become. It's both sweet and bitter, because in the Season 1 finale, he separates from his son, reliving again the time when he first had to separate from him. Showing the tragic side of that scene, this time they were able to talk properly before parting and leaving the last bits of information to find Kara.
