The news was slowly trickling out. Rumors were flying, most of them being blown away fast enough. (Tony might’ve surrendered his tower, but he wouldn’t have condoned holding the city hostage.) But some were starting to pile up. Some were turning into fact.
One of those facts was sitting on her rooftop.
Jessica stared at the silhouette, the blue and red hard to make out in the dark, even as vibrant as they were. She bit her lip, brows furrowed. She recognized that look in the other woman’s eye. She had seen it in the mirror enough times. “Hey,” she called out, taking a step forward. She walked up until she was standing right beside Supergirl. (Jesus, that name must’ve come with a hell of a complex.) “You burned the bridge over there,” she said, nodding in its direction. “Didn’t... exactly seem like something you’d want to do.” She looked down, searching for her eyes. “You good there, super chick?”
