Thoughts on Karan Arjun (1995) #33:

OMG I'm finally at DDLJ year in srk's career! I'm midway the 90s!!!

In the first half I kept thinking "why am I more drawn to Salman Khan's character? Why is srk giving me absolutely nothing?" and THEN Arjun realizes the whole backstory stuff AND srk revs up the charm so I think it was an acting decision on his part (i was relieved)

I will admit I did not pay much attention to the last 20 minutes but GOD THAT PLOT TWIST I gasped and held my breath for a whole minute.

That tiger striped outfit by Kajol is life I need a gif set or something.

After this and Anjaan I should really make some research on the goddess Kali.

I understand that this movie is super famous and still present in the average Indian's conscience (maybe just the Hindi speaking part?) but I don't think I'll ever rewatch it :P other than the couple of plot twists the plot is pretty predictable. After a bit it just becomes a waiting game + I find fight scenes pretty boring in general.

Crazy that srk and Kajol starred in this one + DDLJ in the same year O.O apparently DDLJ was the highest grossing movie of 1995 and Karan Arjun the second O.O

srk had 7 movie coming out in 1995??? O.O how.

next up: zamaana deewana. I've decided to not look up ANYTHING about the srk movies before watching them cause it's fun to be totally blindsided.

Working my way through SRK's '90's filmography...enjoyed this one.

Funny to see SRK in a stable after hearing him say in an interview how much he dislikes horses...and of course he gets beat up as usual. Does Amrish Puri play the bad guy in every '90's SRK movie?

The roll in the hay was a bit spicier than usual...loved those carefully concealed kisses.

Shahrukh was so beautiful in his younger days...and he's just gotten hotter 🔥
