shak rukh khan and kajol for kabhi khushi kabhie gham — 2001
Since I just finished watching all SRK movies from the 90s (except for a couple of cameos I can't find anywhere) I figured I'd give you all my recommendations, out of the 29 movies from this decade.
Iconic movies that you must watch (even if they are not all equally good)
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1996). Non c'è bisogno di presentazioni.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)
Dil To Pagal Hai (1997)
Dil Se.. (1998).
My favourite underestimated
Deewana (1992). His first ever movie.
Kabhi Haan Kawhi Naa (1994). He is such a sweet rascal in this one, really moving too.
Anjaam (1994). SRK is The Villain in this one. Absolutely amazing. I will watch it and rewatch it forever.
English Babu Desi Mem (1996). The fake British accent is iconic.
Yes Boss (1996). I just love Juli Chawla.
Nice to watch
Zamaana Deewana (1995). The whole pretend sequence is very funny.
Guddu (1995). Absolutely unhinged like only 90s Hindi dramas can be.
Chaahat (1996). Not fully developed, but some really fun comedic scenes and heart wrenching tragic scenes.
Pardes (1997).
Baadshah (1998).
Personally, I think that anything not on this list can just be skipped.
No, no, no, no....
Any iconic SRK "movies you must watch from the 90's" list is incomplete without:
Darr
Baazigar
Ram Jaane
Koyla
Darr is one of his most impressive performances. I have rarely seen an actor completely run away with a film the way SRK took over this movie. Sunny Deol is completely unmemorable as the protagonist, the only person anyone talks about is Rahul Mehra. Baazigar, SRK throws a woman off a roof and still becomes the most empathetic character in the movie - I rest my case. Ram Jaane - the man is so completely gorgeous, how can you not forgive him for his transgressions? Koyla is like a perfect fairy tale. 'Nuff said.
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006)
Ishq Kamina choreography is such an energetic blast that my edit slowed down only this bit.🤏
Yes, it's White Shirt Wednesday 👕
Strike a pose, it's Suitporn Sunday
SRK in '90s pure 'boy' from the household self-groomed only to be man of every girls around him..
In brief
IRRESISTIBLE
