Clearly karen isn’t in the punisher special or frank “aftershave” castle would’ve shaved and prettied himself up for her lol
Well. Either way, I love him. With a beard or not..
I mean, it's not that bad! He looks fine to me.

A question for Karen Renford. Miss Renford, how would you go about breaking a guard dog that's incredibly prideful and stubborn? The trainee in question got punished so severely by his handler he needed intensive care afterwards, because he refused something as small as addressing his handler as sir, refusing to show even a modicum of respect.
But the prospect insists on this specific trainee.
"Well, that would cost extra, because there's going to be a more significant time commitment," Karen says, considering. She glances down at her assistant, a trained pet himself kneeling on a cushion beside her desk. "Some are easier..."
The assistant might flush a little, but he doesn't speak or look up.
"... some are more difficult. In that case, it does suggest a need to make the trainee entirely, completely dependent on his handler initially. There is no nutrition without coming directly from the handler's hand, fed bite by bite. No hydration that the handler isn't responsible for. No interaction with anyone but the handler. What you'll need to do is start from scratch, more or less. Let the creature be worn to the barest hint of itself, and then rebuild it from there. Only when the trainee accepts total dependence on its handler and begins to build a bond do you begin to introduce the prospective as a secondary source of positive reinforcement, and eventually the primary and finally only source of positive reinforcement. We would simply charge extra for the extra time."
Karen, how about giving your big bro a make over?
This question has latched onto my brain since watching Robin Hood again, does Karen Renford dance? Like not like modern dance but classy dances like you see rich people do in the movies you know?
She can dance, and very well. But you will likely never see her do it.
What happens when Karen Renford returns early from a business trip and Peter is sick?
If she's happy, nothing. He can be excused from dinner but the chores must still be done. The others can handle it if he can't.
If she's in a bad mood? Had a bad flight? Then he can get up anyway and take her anger, just like he's made to do.
So say Marco runs away not to Lee’s but to Robbins’ place, and Karen gets an angry phone call from the professor yelling at her, asking what she’d been playing at because he was going to cooperate so what the fuck? What’s her reaction?
Also how does Luke handle Robbins pulling a piece on him if he’s trying to track Marco down?
Karen's genuine confusion and then slowly growing cold anger as she realizes Luke has been keeping a secret from her for so long... And suddenly some of his stranger recent behaviors make sense... Explaining quietly but firmly to William Robbins that out of sheer respect for their long acquaintance, he should understand that she is not lying when she says she did not know about this, but she suspects Marco has been trained by one of the best Romantic trainers in the entire company and as much as he loves his son, he cannot be trusted. Marco may try to go back.
Luke would follow the tracker signal but I think initially be careful. Until he realizes Marco is with THEM again. And then I think he would focus on luring Marco outside on his own to sweet talk him and make soft loving horrible threats.
I think we’ve already asked how your characters would act like if they knew you wrote their existence and whether you’d be more scared of Antoni or Kauri but… what about Karen? How would she react if she learned she wasn’t real and, more importantly, that she was never in control of her own life?
Nah, Karen would know that I never made a decision for her, she made all her own choices. And she would just be happy I mention so often how well she dresses and how terrified everyone else is of her, even other whumpers.
…this has probably been asked tike and time again, probably even by me, but does anyone actually unsettle Karen Renford?
Nat Yoder does sometimes. Karen wonders occasionally what ever motivated her to give up her excellent job and top notch salary to go live in a rundown house caring for runaway pets for the rest of her life.
