Three Rings Mixed media on Paper I wanted to do an extensive write up on this drawing, I'll see if I can eventually come back to it. Maybe include a lot of the skull drawings from my archive. This piece is one about life in a positive way despite sinister imagery. I'm all worn out for no good reason, we are still packing and getting ready to pick up and move to a new house! I can't wait to rebuild my studio space. I've been doing some research on paint color mixing, it's really interesting to see a formal write up on color mixing theory. A lot of the color mixing I have done has been trial and error. To see it written out in a way that makes sense finishes the circle of education. I'll have to compile some stuff on that for my own reference as well. I've got a new stack of art work to share, a lot of the similar imagery that I usually do. Maybe to some it feels stale but to me it is always a continuation of ideas and exploration that is gradual until I find something new. Heat of the Desert Mixed media on paper I really need to get back at my aesthetic and push my concepts back out into the world. I love the stuff I’ve been doing but I’ve been sitting on these ideas for a long time. I made them too sacred and some of this stuff has never seen the light of day. Seems like whenever I play a video game that really inspires me it lights that fire back in me to work on that stuff, but then it just goes back into hiding. Ive had had lot of time off from work to be with my newborn baby girl and it’s given me a lot of time to think. Now I just need time to work! Finding that balance of work, play, and family is always a hard one. Someday I’ll master it!
