Utterpok, Chapter 9: War Efforts (Book One: Air) / avatar!azula au, gen with maizula, zukka, and kataang endgame

“Princess Azula, you already know, don’t you?” Roku asked.

Azula said nothing.

“Be stubborn, dragon-hearted girl. Forty-nine days following the death of Avatar Nyima, the airbender girl who sacrificed herself to save her friend’s life, Avatar Mikilaaq was born to the Southern Water People. She was imprisoned, however, during her thirteenth year in one of your grandfather’s raids for being a waterbender. Before anyone could identify her as the avatar. Twenty-four years later, she was killed by an illness contracted during her imprisonment.

“Forty-nine days following the death of Avatar Mikilaaq, the earthbender Avatar Chiê'n was born in the colonized territory of Đất Nam. It was illegal for him to even earthbend, and so he never discovered his true nature and responsibilities as the avatar. He died peacefully of old age in his sleep fourteen years ago.

“Forty-nine days following the death of Avatar Chiê'n, an unnamed girl was born to the Imperial House of the Empire of Fire with a legacy of horror for her to either inherit or reject.”

or: azula is the avatar. that changes everything, except zuko and the gaang.

katara and aang laying in bed going on and on to each other about how attractive and Lovely Zuko is and they accidentally stay up too late because they can both talk about zuko for hours.

For a quick second I thought aang's hand was on katara's bum haha.. 🏃🏽‍♀️

If you remove aang's hand, and take into account their expressions, it sure looks that way! haha 😅

As a little girl I had the biggest crush on aang, and you draw him just as I pictured he'd look as an adult, im so excited for that new movie, they all look great

HAHA! OMG that was unintentional...or was it? I think it's because of their faces. I was going for a "we got caught flirting and are being teased about it" kinda vibe I didn't even draw Aang's arm till last minute lol.

I hope they're adorable in the movie! I'm lowkey hoping we have their wedding take place in the movie.🤭😍
