I love the idea of the Bennet sisters having their middle names be the name of the sister who comes before her (i.e. Lydia Katherine, Katherine Mary, Mary Elizabeth, Elizabeth Jane)
This only meets a problem with regards to Jane's middle name which I think would be their mother's maiden name
Book Review: The Seers
Good Morning!
Last night I finished The Seers by Katherine Bennet, and I'm happy to share my review with you today!
This book was a great scifi/urban fantasy read with plenty of action and plot twists along the way. Thought I'm not huge on romance, this was still a really great read.
Definitely worth checking out if you're interested. Let's support more great indie authors like Katherine!

KATHERINE BENNET
hufflepuff ▝ fifth year ▝ samantha logan ▝ pride and prejudice
Katherine, or Kitty as she is most commonly known, was always a sickly child. Her mother, overworked as she was with three older sisters and another baby to take care of, often left Kitty to their house elf Sweety and as her oldest daughters grew up, to them. Mrs. Bennet said Kitty’s coughs made her too stressed out and that her nerves couldn’t handle the sound. All of her sisters pitched in somehow, but it was Lydia that went the extra mile. She would spend hours on Kitty’s bedside reading her stories. It was Lydia who nicknamed her Kitty and it was Lydia who always made sureKitty feel included. Like most pair of twins they are extremely close. But there is something different about their relationship, and it’s how Kitty practically worships the ground Lydia walks on.
Kitty’s sickness hasn’t gone away completely, her constitution isn’t very strong and she is often bedridden because of a simple cold. Her parents considered having her stay at home, their middle daughter Mary was a squib and they would provide each other company. But Kitty was adamant that she would be able to handle life at Hogwarts; Lydia, Jane, and Elizabeth promised to watch over Kitty and make sure she was taking care of herself. Hogwarts has been good for her though, it allowed her to spread her wings and form new friendships. She still considers Lydia as her best friend in the world and would do anything for her, but it’s nice to have other friends. Harriet Smith is a very dear friend. They have similar interests and most of all – they both love going to Hogsmeade to check out the boys.
When it comes to her life after Hogwarts Kitty is quite determined to ignore that possibility for as long as possible. Her objective when it comes to the O.W.L.S’s is to pass as many as possible so she can, later on, think of what to do. Kitty is a very smart girl who can quickly grasp difficult concepts, but she has severe concentration problems. One word from Harriet or Lydia and her attention is completely diverted. Her older sisters tell her (or in Mary’s case, write to her) that she needs to spend more time in the library, but she struggles with that. She says she will go the next day but doesn’t. That’s another thing about Kitty – she often lies to herself, imagining a version of events that simply doesn’t coincide with reality.
