If Henry was a Warrior Cat, what kind would he be? Are there different kinds? Or is there like, a Warrior Cat character he's similar to?

I THIIIINK He'd be a ShadowClan warrior — usually they're slotted in the role of antagonists and I think it'd be really fun to see a guy who holds honour and community in such high regard like Henry in a place like that.

He's a warrior who helps around the medcat den occasionally and his name should be something like... Ashenstrike. Ashstorm. Ashheart. idk. he's a grey tabby like this

and he's almost a carbon copy of radzig (gullstar?). Martin is Brown and Jana is cream. thank god warrior cats genetics isn't real.

Tell me about your favourite thing about the lore of the blorbos-in-law

man it's hard to pick a favorite!!!! there's so much about arthuriana that i love!!!! and there's so much about all of the characters that i love!!!!! and there's so much about my little versions of the characters that i love!!!!!!!!! i just love it all a lot!!!!!!!!!!!

i guess i'll give a little tidbit about galehaut! i think i've only mentioned this in the exclusion zone before. i picture galehaut as someone really interested in natural history and in the natural world. i think he has an appreciation for all flora and fauna, big and especially small. in particular i think he's fascinated by lepidoptera -- moths and butterflies -- and is transfixed by how ephemeral they are, especially by silk moths. silk moths exist for a very short time as moths, because after metamorphosis, they no longer have mouths. their only purpose is to procreate, and then die, either by being eaten by a predator or simply by starving to death. he can't stop thinking about them, about these little doom-driven creatures, whose final shape exists only to leave something behind.

For Fanfic Writer Friday! What is your favourite Hansry headcanon that you like you include in your fics?

my hansry headcanon is maybe a fairly common and unspectacular one haha. i firmly believe that hans essentially got a bunch of confusing wet dreams about henry ever since he rescued him from the cuman camp during the hunting quest and carried him all the way back to pirkstein.

and basically everything hans does afterwards (him trying to hook up with as many women as possible and getting divorced from henry at troskowitz) is basically him trying to save himself from those feelings. and only somewhere in suchdol does he have this realisation that he might genuinely be in love with henry.

my headcanon for henry is that he has an attraction towards hans after the rattay baths, but only realises he loves hans when zizka's men ambushed then and basically knocked hans out. hans was hurt BADLY there and i think the sudden realisation of "fuck, i couldn't bear to lose him" made him realise that he has romantic feelings for him (including all the other gay/bi men he's met since then honestly)

also hans is sorta kinda highkey lowkey attracted to sam and wouldn't be opposed to a thre— *several handgonneshots*

14. do you love the smell of earth after it rains?

Yes. Especially in the summer time, when the ground has been super heated because of the sun, and then the rain cools it off.

20. do you say soda or pop?

Soda. Although, where I spent a lot of my formative years, using coke to mean all soda was pretty common, lol.

46. favorite holiday film?

The Year Without A Santa Claus! If we're talking winter holidays, anyway, lol. I probably watch it every year around Christmas time—I used to watch all the old stop-motion Christmas movies as a kid, so it's really nostalgic for me. That one's my favorite, though :)

1. What is the crackiest* thing you’ve ever written? (*I mean this with great affection)

it's gonna be my hockey au fic for sure lmao. it's truly deranged. but i hold GREAT love for it!! i think it's good!!! i also got WAY too in depth with the worldbuilding details, which i am holding onto in case i ever want to add to this. unfortunately my hockey brain is currently fast fucking asleep because the stanley cup playoffs are fucking DIRE. if the golden knights win im killing someone

26. Do you have a routine you run through before you write?

not even a little lmao, i get bitten by the bug and i just go. the closest i get to something resembling a routine is maybe, if i'm doing a sprint, refilling my water bottle before starting. gotta stay hydrated!!!

What is your overall favorite HC for Hans?

hrrrmmmmm........... it's hard to pick a favorite but. if i had to. probably this one. i love hans being smart, capable, and competent, him being able to use his quick mind to plan and execute an entire siege, adapting to every situation as it unfolds while staying aligned with the overall gameplan. he knows the strengths and weaknesses of different fortifications. he understands the logistical nightmare that the siege necessitates. and, as someone pointed out, in kcd1 he even says that he'd like to be a siege master someday! and i think he'd be a REALLY good one!

For Fanfic Writer Friday!

How many drafts do you typically do before your fic gets where you want it to be? Do you draft? Or do you just kind of wing it?

for most fics i very much do in fact kind of wing it. depending on how long it is, i might sit down and bang it out in a single session!! after that i do a quick runthrough of it to find any typos or spelling mistakes (i ALWAYS miss at least a few even after doing this), maybe switch out a word here or there, and then i do not want to look at it anymore so i post it immediately and close tab

for my longfic, because i've been trying to have a buffer of a few chapters in the backlog between updates, i do tend to go back and make edits on the waiting chapters a bit more often, but even then, those edits are pretty insubstantial. there's only really been one occasion where i had to rewrite something from scratch, and that was because of a developmental issue so i needed it for consistency. editing is the bane of my existence and i will do as little of it as possible LMAO

oh gosh my dreams are always crazy. I took a long nap earlier today and I dreamt I was in some assembly line factory with a bunch of ppl from my swordfighting class. there was a lot of pressure to do something successfully but I forget what it was lol
