It's been harder to make time to read with so much to do this fall, but read no.15 was worth every effort! Everything Leads to You was a stunning read. Tenderly told with prose that swings from subtle to astounding and so very earnest in all the right ways. Pure hearted fun. Lars can only stare at read no.14 in awe. #papergirls volume one is that rare gem that gives you high expectations and then tops them one after another. 80's! Teen girl friendships! Adventure! Aliens! Read no.18 is Every Heart a Doorway by @seananmcguire. What a way to finish the year! This book is dark, magical, and deep with heart. It is everything I loved about stories as a kid. It cuts down to the bone of what a story can do and what it can mean. It dances perfectly between the legacy of children walking through doorways and a space entirely of its own. It lingers like a wild dream and it's the kind of book I am going to tell everyone to read. #abatkatreading #bookstagram #readersofinstagram #katreads2017

A Queer History of the United States by Michael Bronski. Came for the tidbits about 19th century culture, stayed for the hope and inspiration this book delivers.
