"The Forgotten Hours" by Katrin Schumann. Story told from the viewpoint of Katie Gregory of what happened the last summer of her happiness. She and her best friend LuLu shared their summers together till it happened, after which she never spoke to her best friend again. Her father is convicted of raping Lulu and sent to prison, but now after 6 years is getting out. Her loyality to her father has ruled her life. Now as the time gets near, she is the only one for him to turn to. What happens next is a story of discovery and truths. As she learns more details of what happened that last night of summer.
The story took it's time as it lead Katie through discovery of what she thought she knew and now what others had known. It was interesting and kept me around joining her on her search. To my drawback was that she seemed to be a bit more wordy then necessary, but maybe it was me, more in a rush to get to the next answer, but some details she went into had nothing to do with the main tale, but just description, such as walking down a street. In the end it just seemed to me to take a long time to get through the book.
