Hey Cozylings🧡 I just wanted to make a little post to remind everyone to stay safe with DMs, because something happened today that made me pause 😭✨
A random account messaged me asking for my Cash App, PayPal, or Apple info, saying they wanted to “help with bills or rent.” At first, it seemed kind of friendly, but it was clearly a scam/hacker attempt. Anyone asking for money out of nowhere is not safe, and it’s not worth replying or giving them anything. I deleted the question they asked publicly (super safe move) and did not reply literally blocking and ignoring them is the safest way to handle it. I also screenshotted the message just in case, so I have proof and everything is fine on my end 😭🫶
I want to stress: never give money or personal info to strangers online, no matter how sweet they sound. Scammers love to try and trick people, but we’re smarter than that 💖
Here’s what you can do if something like this happens:
✨ Block the account immediately
✨ Report it to Tumblr (spam or harassment works)
✨ Check your account security (strong password + two-factor authentication)
✨ Ignore any further messages asking for money
Remember friends, your cozy vibes, sims, and little happy moments online are more important than random strangers trying to scam you 😭✨ Sip your tea, hug your blankets, snuggle your sims, and stay safe ♡🫶
