So, back in February, that asshead, Shane turned up and promptly stressed the hell out of Joel, thus cementing my eternal hatred until the day I die. Then, he produced a video which he kept on his phone for the past two and a half or so years (assuming Katy died in December 2014)?
In case any of you need a refresher, it showed Bart McQueen (toward whom my feelings are mixed), Joel and a practically unconscious Katy in a crack den, Bart and Joel completely off their faces on a drug. I don’t know which. All I know is it must have been strong because Bart asked Shane where he got it from. Prior to that, Shane started filming, obviously, but why is a question for another time. I’m focusing on Katy and Joel here.
Joel asked Katy if she was enjoying the trip and she said she was starting to. Then when he realised she wasn’t waking up, he was panicked and begging her to stop it, probably hoping she was kidding around, which she wasn’t. The video ends there.
Their relationship is a mystery to me. How did they meet? Why did they meet? What happened with them? I have a few headcanons about them because well, of course I do.
Katy got Joel on drugs - Hear me out here. Obviously, she is his aunt, but she didn’t know him all that well. When Sienna first met Joel, he mentioned to her that his mother died a few years ago, Given that his mother (her name was Marie, by the way), was the only real family he ever knew, it’s not a huge stretch to imagine that it hurt him a lot and he’d already been through a lot, what with being stabbed, nearly blown up, losing two father-figures, accidentally killing his stepdad. It could have been the final straw that made him decide that using was the answer.
They had a romantic encounter - Ste had one with his own dad, so would it be that much of a stretch? As noted above, they didn’t know each other, and Joel mentioned he loved Katy. But that could just be my twisted imagination.
They were both involved in sex work - Going on Joel’s rant to Prince about calling drug addicts ‘smackheads’, Joel mentioned watching someone you love ‘prostitute’ themselves. Shane mentioned meeting Joel (and Bart, I think), at a party in London, but didn’t specify which kind of party. And Joel once called Warren’s actions non-Christian, so I think he might be a Christian, but in all honesty, this show confuses me when it comes to Joel’s faith. My mother told me that if he had taken a vow of celibacy, it was through his own choice, And then there’s the Cleoj kiss. When she was on top of him on the sofa, he stopped straightaway, like he was scared, or anxious. And Cleo once accused him of being scared of sex, and I think she was more right than she knew. My theory on Joel being involved in prostitution is gonna make a comeback next post.
I would just like to add that in the quite likely event that all these ideas are wrong, I’m sorry, but currently, they are giving me nothing with Katy and Joel’s relationship and I do believe I am going mad.
