Tabletop got really interesting when my PC got swapped out with an alternate universe/timeline version of themselves who was a little older and a LOT different personality wise because they were raised by their two adopted dads from infancy rather than from when they were like 12. They've also got a dramatically different sense of style. 

At the moment Dad one is frantically trying to get original Katya back, and Dad two kinda digs new Katya. We’ll see how it goes.

And one more for Nighthawk!Katya. It’s good for me to get to draw some personal things in between commission after commission after commission. Keeps me fresh. That bow string is a heartbeat. Whos? We just don’t know.

More art for the tabletop version of my old OC Katya. There are a lot of Kingdom Hearts aspects to the game, and my baby just got her own Keyblade. Deciding between the names Event Horizon or Seam Ripper.

One more picture of Katya, it actually became canon this game that their freckles look like little stars now which makes me so happy.

How did you get the gradient in the hair on that last drawing? It's amazing!!

Aww, thank you so much! <3

I used the gradient tool to fill in the whole base color with Katya’s (current pallet) main three colors, Turquoise, Fuchsia, and Indigo. 

Then Filled in separate Layers for the skin, shirt, and necklace

Then I added a second layer of the base gradient right on top of the original, set that to multiply and added a layer mask and painted in greys and blacks to remove anywhere there would be highlights. 

Then I added another layer on top, set that to Screen, selected each color while going in an painting small highlights at the height of every curl 

Then added a top layer in front of the lineart with light wispy hairs, in very light versions of each of the three colors and one or two dark. 

Then added her star freckles at the end!

Haven’t done something with proper lining in a while. Thought I’d give that a try.

Muse has really been stuck on drawing Katya n’ co lately. She’s just really fun to draw and her interactions give me a lot of inspiration. Here she is with her two adopted dads, Rudy, a Run Mage Dragon who can control space and Jak, an ex-void creature who can control darkness and theif magic. They were the first two to find Katya when she first popped into the universe of the game, and quickly became the two guiding lights in her life. For better or worse.
