Chanakya (c. 370–283 BC), also known as Kautilya, was a royal advisor, teacher, philosopher, economist, and master strategist. He is one of the greatest figures of wisdom and knowledge in Indian history. He played an important role in the establishment of the Maurya Empire by assisting the first Mauryan emperor Chandragupta.
