#KawhiWatch comes to an end
i’m going to be honest. i knew kawhi was going to be but i didn’t think danny green, at first. thought he really liked toronto and that would make him stay. but whatever. some part of me hoped that they would both stay but the longer the wait was, the more i knew they weren’t coming back. i didn’t know much about these two because they were part of the western conference and really only watched the east. but i’m so glad both of you came (especially danny 🥰 LOL)
kawhi, you gave us the shot, the turning point in the playoffs. even though you were a man of a few words, every single one of them were gold. #loadmanagementFTW
danny, you became one of my favourite basketball players of all time. not because you were good on the court, you were a good person off the court. you embraced toronto, which is why you leaving is more difficult.
you two gave postseason i will never forget. the late nights watching these games, the bonding i’ve had with friends and strangers, the pride that we get everywhere we go that we are NBA champs, the parade of a lifetime (even though it was 9 hours of standing - WORTH IT) and many more amazing memories
thanks for everything <3
