Happy Valentines/Palentines Day to All That Celebrated!
To mark the occasion, and with TWST being the interest as of now, I chose to draw out one of my OCXCanons for the fandom. It only makes sense that Cater would want to mark the occasion with his new boyfriend. Too bad that Monty doesn't like to have his face on social media, but at least Valentine's Day offers up a prop to allow a cute compromise~
I hope you all like the drawing! It has been so long since I have completed a larger digitalwork, but I am very proud of how this came out! I hope soon enough, I can share more of Monty and his background.
I have also shared this on my Instagram, for anyone that wanted to follow me there!
ahhh ch6 created half in the relaxing vibes of the seaside and half in the nightmare of mental health not healhting lmao. the duality of men!
three themes in this chapter! 1) Kaye tired of keeping the secret of their relationship for months 2) Symon's lack of ability to see the people behind his work 3) unintentional trigger of yet unrevealed (but hinted at) past trauma (I say unrevealed like I didn't send you my full outline #clownshit)
snippet below!
A voice rings behind him. "Symon?"
He whips around so fast that the wine almost sloshes over the rim of the glass. Edith is making her way across the room, pushing through the crowd with a wide smile and dragging her husband behind her.
"God, I haven't seen you in months," she says warmly, climbing on her tiptoes to pull him into a hug. Georg gives him a polite nod over her shoulder. "You should have told me you're coming tonight, you know Georg and I are here almost every weekend."
"Last minute plans," he mumbles, feeling his face go red.
Kaye stands behind with a politely neutral expression on her face. Edith's eyes float to her when she stands back at Georg's side. "Oh, excuse me, I didn't know you came with someone."
"Oh, erm, I—"
"He didn't really," Kaye takes over with a polite smile, extending a hand. "I'm Kaye Renaldo. Mr. Holl's secretary. We just happened to bump into each other."
"Of course, I'm sorry I forgot your name," Edith says kindly, shaking her hand. "You haven't met my husband, Georg?"
"It's a pleasure," Georg says, bending to kiss Kaye's palm. Symon's jaw tightens before he has a chance to examine the hot pang of jealousy running through his heart. "I must say, I do not expect many secretaries in the crowd tonight. The Spirit of Unger is not the most approachable play."
"I happen to enjoy Erick Agnel's works," she says stiffly, sparing a glance at Symon. He presses his lips in a thin line, staring at the floor. "Regardless. Mr. Holl gave me these tickets as a New Year's gift."
