Oooh, so hard to choose just one when I want to hear about all of them, but the Assassins, for Hicsqueak, please.
Don’t ask me why but an AU where Pippa is an assassin and Hecate is her mark became a Thing in my brain. I have some of it sketched out, some just in dialogue, but here’s a snippet from toward the beginning:
Pippa knows that her mark (the daughter of a recently deceased diamond baron, as cold as her father, responsible for countless deaths and missing persons, missing children) sets her alarm for 5:30am every morning. Knows what toothpaste she uses, and that it takes her precisely seven and a half minutes to tame her hair into a severe bun.
Pippa knows her driver picks her up at her New York penthouse at 7:45am. That he brings her black coffee in a paper cup from the deli on the corner, though he tells her it’s from a boutique shop. She knows that her mark knows it isn’t what he says it is.
She knows from watching, waiting. Long before she introduces herself at an art gallery gala, where diamonds from her father’s personal collection are on display, Pippa knows exactly how many exes she has and how her mother died and how much money is in her bank account, down to the penny. She knows her childhood friends and their friends, knows her mark doesn’t have friends now, just her driver, and Pippa knows his name, too. His family. His likes and dislikes.
She knows her mark’s favorite piece of music and her taste in drinks and her secret love of poetry; knows she wanted to be a schoolteacher when she was younger.
But mostly, Pippa knows that in the six years since her father’s death, she hasn’t done a damn thing to change any of it, that’s she’s followed in her father’s brutal footsteps, and all of that makes it so, so easy to slip onto the bar stool next to her at the gala, to order the most expensive scotch—a choice her mark will approve of—to say, offhandedly, “It’s such a shame that Cezanne sold before the auction,” knowing full well her mark purchased it for an outrageous price direct from the museum—labeled a gift for her generous “donation.”
Getting the woman to talk is difficult, but not impossible. She’s quick and razor-tongued and Pippa likes the sparring, likes the way her eyes betray nothing, the way her hands betray everything. It’s a game, one Pippa know she’ll win in the end.

1, 4, 5, and 23 for the British Asks. Please and thank you.
Thanks!
1. Who’s been your favourite bake off contestant?
Nadiya queen of my heart also Selasi
4. What’s a British stereotype that you hate?
Hmmm probably the one that's like everyone is either basically like an extra from Downton or like that post about 'proper cheeky innit' or whatever it says. Peoples ideas are very southern orientated. Also that we dont have tastebuds or have any flavour in food. We do, it's just traditional 'British' food stems from post war rations and what could be sourced in britain
5. How about a British stereotype that’s actually very accurate for you?
Teaaaaaa give me all the tea, no matter the weather I'll never say no to a cuppa
23. Give us some British TV show recommendations
Oooh ok some ones that have finished: Spooks, Skins, Friday Night Dinner and Hustle. Current: Taskmaster, The Repair Shop
1, 5, 25 and 27 for Serena.
1. How to soothe them I think anyone who wants to soothe Serena when she’s upset, needs to first acknowledge that her feelings are valid, and then let her dictate what kind of help or comfort she wants to receive. Serena’s not someone who responds well to having her feelings brushed aside, or having someone presume they know what’s best for her. Backing it up with a nice bottle of shiraz also wouldn’t hurt 😉
5. Best date night I like to think there was a night while Bernie was with her in France where they went to an incredible little hole in the wall bistro, and spent hours and hours eating and talking and drinking wine, handing hands across the table the entire time. When they realized they were the only customers remaining the finally left, both of them stammering out apologies in french while the owners smiled indulgently at them. They took the long way back to Serena’s cottage, walking hand in hand along the moonlit streets, feeling like there was no one in the world besides the two of them, and didn’t fall asleep until dawn.
25. Signature dinner dish Serena doesn’t cook much, but she spent years perfecting her mother’s coq au vin. It’s her go to dish for special occasions
27. How they’re mischaracterised How much time do you have? lol
I think the number one I see is that she’s a bitch. Don’t get me wrong, she wishes she was a bitch, and would absolutely say she is if asked. But her heart is always on her sleeve, whether she likes it or not, and she care SO MUCH for everyone around her. When she speaks sharply, or says things that are hurtful, especially to those she loves, it comes from her own insecurities and tendency to assume the worst, never from a place of premeditation or malice
[send me a character and number...]
🌹
Serena wants. Her eyes are dry from the long drive and winter air; she wants hot coffee and buttered toast and a warm body wrapped around her to ward away the cold. She blinks at the image that inspires (blonde hair, long legs, warm hands). Stops halfway to the kitchen, turning just in time to stumble into blonde hair, long legs, cold hands, their bodies tangling around each other as they bump against the wall.
3, 13, 23?
3. The person you would never want to meet? I never want to meet any of the actors who play characters I have (or have had) crushes on. Especially while a crush is ongoing...
13. Your worst enemy? My brain probably. If the amount of shit that goes on in there decreases to like 50%, I'd probably be unstoppable (jk, but I'd be a normally functioning human being and that would be nice).
23. What is one unique thing you’re afraid of? Alas, I have realtively few very boring-ass & common fears. The one I get laughed at for most often is my uh... apprehension.. around cows. It's usually from people who have never seen an angry cow in their lives.
24, 30, 48, 49 and 51. :)
Thanks for your ask, friend! :)
24. What do you want right this second?
I want every living being safe, healthy and content right now.
30. Does everyone deserve a second chance?
No.
Everyone deserves a chance to be forgiven, everyone deserves a chance to be able to redeem themselves and a chance to change the path they took.
But... a second chance (as I see it) would be set on the same path, with the same people around them - a repetition - and sometimes that’s just not possible for the sake of others.
48. Do you sing in the shower?
Absolutely! Enthusiastically and completely off-key.
49. Do you dance in the car?
I don’t own a car, I don’t even have a licence and I think that dancing on the bus that takes me to work might be frowned upon by other passengers. So, better not. ^^
51. Last time you got a portrait taken by a photographer?
Oh... about five years ago. I really, really can’t stand having my pictures taken, it will make me very anxious and tense and I spoke to the photographer at lengths about how we could find a way to work together.
At the end we had the best session I ever had with a photographer, I would absolutely work with her again and I still love one of the portraits she took very much.
