Confidence
Last year I stepped out of my comfort zone and I have not stopped since I took my first step. I have now written and released my first children’s book and now completing my second. I am super excited about the day I decided to make the shift and then acted on the decision I made then not knowing where the road will lead. I had a goal/vision/idea but once I took the first step by the time I got midway the lane changed or got wider. I did not have all the necessary tools at the time that I would need but I started my journey anyway with the tools I had and since added lots on the way. I reached out to others walking the same path I was taking and some stopped to help me for which I am eternally grateful. As in any case, there were many who did not even look my direction, some looked and continued walking. When this happens, do not give up, give no thought but keep going knowing you will find one who will help you. Keep going. I kept going and today I am holding my very own children’s book written by me; my then goal has materialized because I did not stop even when I hit a high wall and cried. I just kept going a little step at a time. If you are reading this, don’t overthink things, you will never move. Just take the first step and that is to make the decision to make a change. Then take the second step to walk in that direction. Don’t rush it either as the race is not for the swift but for those who will endure until the end; take baby steps and keep your eyes in your lane and your journey. Don’t look at the journey of others and how far ahead of you they appear to be. We all will arrive at the same goal line in our own time and then the next goal begins. Remember too to have fun along the way and give a helping hand to others along the way. It makes the long journey easier. Oh, you will cry sometimes but that’s okay too, it only makes the reward sweeter and better in the hand. Thanks for reading.
