New writing tip, don’t display word count until you’re finished with a chapter or group of writing. It can be discouraging. And don’t force yourself to be good. Society’s tricked you into being productive by ability, and it’s really just not okay. You can be bad at something. It’s good for you, really. Be spitefully bad. Also you really don’t have to add detail to everything. Respectfully, no one needs to know how bread crumbles in someone’s mouth, and it can hinder readability.
